Chapter 253 - Chapter 252 Security check

Once the butler dropped the backpack. He immediately headed outside. Sensing that a peaceful night was coming forth. He began to hum in a lowkey tone. This made the insects who were already in a lowkey tone relax as well.

It was not long before the quietness of the night had come forth. The butler went to check the barracks out first. He did not know where it would be.

So he decided to just walk around casually. This made the people who saw the butler question themselves.

"Why is a butler walking around casually at night?"

"If a butler can walk around without his master. What need is there to have such a man?"

"That man needs to either undress as a butler or go back to his master. Why would anyone walk around here? When this is one of the most protected places."

Were the questions going through people's minds when they saw the butler.

"People like to stare, do they not?" The butler spoke softly.

The sharp, dressed man approached the butler from the left.

"Do you mind telling me what you meant earlier?" The man asked.

"My Master is like a dragon. Anyone who dares to mess with those who are close to him. Will end up in the grave or given to the demons to torture forever." The butler replied, walking forward.

The sharp, dressed man continued to walk with the butler. He liked the way the butler talked.

"So tell me, what are you doing walking around at night?" The sharp dressed man asked.

"I got into trouble and got told to check on the security around here. My Master really does not like it when things go south and the women close to him are in trouble." The butler replied.

Sensing that the butler was telling the truth. The sharp, dressed man decided to take the lead.

"If you do not mind, follow me around."

The sharp, dressed man took an immediate left turn, walking towards the valley.

The butler followed, making sure that he stepped exactly where the man in front did. He had no idea where he was going or what was going to happen. Once the duo had walked for fifteen minutes.

They arrived at a worn down building. The sharp, dressed man went up and opened the door.

"Night shift battalion." The man said.

Immediately, ten Angelic people exited the building. These people wore very thin armor and had a dagger on their right hip, a spear on their back, and a bow with a quiver on their left hip.

"Help us make sure that there is no issue with the security around here." The man ordered.

"As you command, sir." The battalion saluted.

"Where to first?" The man asked.

"First, I need to make sure that the specator area is safe. Second, I will make sure that the path to their will not have any traps or people hiding." The butler replied.

Even though the battalion knew there was no way for that to happen. Since their commander had already given the order. They were going to follow it.

The sharp, dressed man also found it funny how particularly the butler was taking his job. He wished that most people would take the jobs seriously like him.

The battalion first led the way to where the Calamity Battle would take place. It was a rough walk of almost an hour away from their barracks.

Sensing that people were heading his way. The Alpha Apex decided to see what was going on.

The butler knew the Alpha Apex would more than likely meet them. He decided to take the lead and have the battalion check the seating area.

When the Alpha Apex and the butler both saw each other. The butler did not feel any fear. The Alpha Apex did, though. He did not know how he got the strongest Night Shift Battalion to work with him.

"Are you declaring war with me?" The Alpha Apex spoke in a low tone that everyone heard.

"No. We are simply here on my Master's orders to make sure that nothing has happened here or will happen because if something were too. The Demon King of Annihilation would wipe everything out that threatened his family." The butler replied.

The Night Shift Battalion froze in their tracks. Hearing of a Demon King of Annihilation was not good at all. The Alpha Apex knew there was already no chance of his side winning. That made it where nothing could go wrong. Otherwise, he would die as well.

"Please tell the Demon King of Annihilation that I will do everything in my power to protect the specator seating area. Whatever happens inside the arena will be out of my control." The Alpha Apex bowed.

"Good. Make sure that any traps or people who wish to harm the people in the specator seating area are either already dealt with or destroyed before morning." The butler replied.

"Alright, you heard the Apex creature. Time to move on." The butler replied.

The Night Shift Battalion and their commander followed the butler.

The Alpha Apex went and disarmed several traps that the Builder Faction Leader had already placed around.

The Alpha Apex spoke to every other Apex creature through his Alpha power, "Listen well all Apex creatures who are participating in the Calamity Battle. There is a Demon King of Annihilation now. I have unknowingly invited him to be in the specator seating. Make sure that nothing you do can be reflected towards that area or directly aimed at that area. If you understand what I mean, reply now."

Every single Apex creature replied with just the simple, "I obey."

The Alpha Apex had already dreaded the Calamity Battle. Now, he had no thoughts on what to do.

The Apex Predator did not want the Alpha Apex to be afraid. So he contacted his maker. The duo made a plan to try to fight the Demon King of Annihilation.

Meanwhile

The path to the Calamity Battle was being cleared of anything that could threaten Rex's wives and maids. The butler also could not get limbs cut down. So he strategically placed a battalion member in the trees. That was to make sure that no one could see them and they could see anything that tried to harm any of Rex's group.

The last person to be sent up was the battalion leader. He had learned a great deal about Rex through his butler. He was genuinely impressed by his love and care for his women.

"If your Master wishes to have some personal guards, please be aware that I will have my battalion ready for the call. If your Master does not already have guards at his beck and call." The battalion leader spoke.

"I will let him know." The butler replied.

Once the duo shook hands, the sun began to rise. The butler hurried inside the resting area.
