The Leader of the Builder Faction did something to shield what happened during a stormy night. No one can say what happened. One thing is certain, that night, the god of the Builder Faction became something different.
The next morning comes around. The god goes out. This was normal. Something felt off to the Angelic Builders. It was as if the god had gained something that night.
A large insect was freely roaming around. The god caught sight of it. The god turned to look at its wings. It was like he was trying to learn how to fly. This caught the Angelic Builders by surprise.
They were happy that their god was trying to learn to protect them. Still, though, an odd look was seen in the eyes of their god.
One person thought, "I need to talk to the Apex creatures."
Seemingly, the god seemed to notice the person. Without warning, a large tail went up and down. Creating a large dust cloud.
At that moment, the person who wanted to talk to the Apex creatures died. Nothing seemed unordinary. The people started to panic.
A large fire breath was shot to the insect. The insect gets hit on leg, trying to dodge. It tried to extinguish to flame. Nothing could be done about it.
The insect glared at the god. In that moment, all life was drained from the insect as the god was in the air flying.
The god rammed into the insect. Nearly killing it on impact. It began to shallow the insect whole.
Once, it had devoured the insect. The god of the Angelic Builders became an Apex creature. Since it had targeted the insect for its prey. It became the Apex Predator."
Rex saw this as a vision.
"So, any ideas how you want to kill it?" The Apex Elemental asked.
"Either that Angelic Leader became the brains or it was the trigger for it to become an Apex creature. Due to the nature of it, I would have to say. I do not have an idea how to destroy it. I would need some time with the ore it was originally made out of to figure out how to stop it." Rex answered unhopeful.
"That is the reason why I was not particularly happy for you to say what you did. I am happy that you can at least attempt to hurt it." The Apex Elemental bowed.
"Is there some close by or where is it?" Rex asked.
"Currently, the Apex Predator is blocking the entrance to the cave. Maybe you can find another way?" The Apex Elemental replied.
Rex saw the Apex Elemental pointing upwards. Rex felt that this was going to take a while.
He looked at the entrance to the small cavern he made on his impact. He hoped that he would not trap himself in the clearing of a pathway.
Something else seemed odd to Rex. If the Leader did become the brains of the Apex Predator. How did he get there?
Rex thought the leader was unlike him to forcefully obtain it. That is when Rex realized the crucial mistake.
"I need to replay when the Dantians were forced into the skull of the Apex Predator." Rex said.
Not needing to know the reason why. The Apex Elemental replayed the scene where the Dantians were placed into the skull.
Rex wanted a closer look at who placed the Dantian in the skull.
When a closer inspection came through. The facial features of the person looked like the Leader of the Builder Faction. This was not Rex thought at first.
He went to get a closer look at the person who was the 'acting' like the Leader. Rex saw a necklace that looked extremely familiar.
"Something about this necklace looks familiar." Rex said.
He could not actively mess with it. The outlining features were something that Rex had messed with in the first time.
Rex sat down and began to cultivate. This infuriated the Apex Elemental. He did not know what Rex was doing.
A few hours later
"I GOT IT!" Rex shouted.
Rex went to describe the necklace to the Apex Elemental. He had no idea what Rex was talking about.
"Take me to the Apex Predator right now. I do not even need to get the ore." Rex was now determined to win.
The thought of Rex not needing the ore anymore to fight against such a monster as the Apex Predator. The Apex Elemental took him as close as he could get to it.
The trip up took just a few minutes. Rex seemed to have the look of someone who figured out the mystery.
Upon arriving there, Rex hurried to see the Apex Predator.
"An Apex Predator is something you are not," Rex smiled.
The Apex Predator heard Rex stomping his way down to the entrance. This was making it mad.
Once Rex stepped to where the entrance of the cave was with the ore. He saw how the Apex Predator had gained some unique features.
Firstly, it had four wings instead of two. Secondly, it had a spiked tail. Third, it looked like the eyes had extra covering on them. Lastly, the body looked like it now had scaling on them.
"It is a pleasure to meet you. Mr. Leader of the Builder Faction." Rex waved.
An angry expression seemed to fill the Apex Predator's face. This made Rex all the more excited.
"Do not worry. I know you are currently holed up inside the skull. I bet that you already sealed that hole up. There are two holes that you cannot seal up. Firstly, because you still need air to breathe and activate the Dantians. Secondly, you will water and food. Thirdly, well, you will have to piss and dump at some point in time. Lastly, you have been getting out to make modifications to the Apex Predator." Rex smiled evilly.
"I await your challenge above ground. If you do not accept my challenge. I will declare that you lost to me." Rex turned his evil smile back pleasant.
With that being said, he went back to the Apex Elemental.
While he was walking, several roars sounded throughout the cavern. Rex just continued to smile.
"Time to go out." Rex said when he hugged the Apex Elemental.
The two appeared above where Rex fell. A sight was before him like none other.
