The Demon King of Will returned with six fish. When he entered the camp, he saw writing on the ground.
"Rex's Soul was damaged. It has been repaired, but he will not be able to use any Demonic Qi for at least a year."
The Demon King of Will tried to Will, who wrote this. He could not get an answer. He took it as the fragment inside Rex.
The Demon King of Will started to cook the fish. It became noon, and the Heavenly Saint returned.
"No luck?" The Demon King of Will asked.
"Nothing. I did not even see any tracks. I did hear a weird noise from the river, though." The Heavenly Saint replied.
The Demon King of Will tried to Will what was the Heavenly Saint heard. The only thing he got was a black shadow.
He did not know who or what it was. He hoped it was not anything like the Dark Abyss.
"We will wait until the leader awakens." The Demon King of Will said.
The two of them glanced at Rex. They began to cook the fish.
Inside Red Soul
"You cannot use any Demonic Qi for a year. What do you plan to do?" The fragment asked.
"I guess I have no choice but to forge the Demonic Ring and put it on." Rex answered.
In front of Rex appeared the gigantic round object. He then used his Demonic Qi to slowly make the gigantic round object smaller.
The fragment was upset that Rex was using his Demonic Qi. He found out that his amount was actually being lowered. This made him a little happy.
It was a long process. In the end, a small black ring was around Rex's left middle finger.
'Ding'
The sound vibrated through his Soul.
Rex checked the notification.
[A Demonic Ring is forged. It will not stop you from using your Demonic Qi. It will support you while you journey.]
Rex was surprised to see the notification.
"Can I name this ring?" He asked.
"No. You have to enter a Heavenly Forge in order to complete the Demonic Ring." The ring wrote out.
"Well, this is going to suck." Rex said.
Once Rex said that, he exited his Soul and woke up.
The Demon King of Will saw the fish were almost done. When he stood up to pick one up, he quickly turned his head towards Rex.
The Heavenly did not care about the fish. Instead, he, too, looked in Rex's direction.
What got both of them looking in Rex's direction was the new ring on Rex's left middle finger.
They were surprised to see such a ring. The duo felt that Rex had become a normal human due to the ring.
"To think that much power was lost." The Heavenly Saint said.
"The power that you believe is lost is inside that ring. Rex would never lose that much strength willingly." The Demon King of Will retorted.
The Heavenly Saint thought that the Demon King of Will was lying. When he looked into his eyes, he saw that he was telling the truth.
They saw Rex slightly moving. The duo went on each side of Rex. Once, Rex was completely awake.
The men helped Rex sit down on his spot. The duo had made a higher ranking seat for Rex. Rex was surprised to see such a spot for him.
"Thank you, both of you." Rex said.
The duo nodded. They handed Rex four of the fish.
Rex was upset with that. He knew that he was in the worst shape. The Heavenly Saint went and got some more fish.
"What is the ring on your middle left finger?" The Demon King of Will asked.
"This." Rex pointed to it.
The Demon King of Will nodded.
"It is the Half-forged Demonic Ring. I wish I could have already named it. I have to be inside a Heavenly Forge to do that. I do not need to be inside a Heavenly Realm for a while." Rex answered.
"Can I see it in better detail?"
"Sure." Rex replied.
The Half-forged Demonic Ring went from Rex's left middle finger to in front of the Demon King of Will.
Upon inspection, the Demon King of Will saw a place for a stone. He did not know why there was already a place for it.
The Heavenly Saint returned with six more fish. The group began to just watch the fish cook in silence. Hearing the crackling of the fire brought peace into Rex's life.
Finally, the six fish finished cooking. Rex ate two more, allowing the others to eat.
"Now that we have defeated the Dark Abyss. What happens now?" The Heavenly Saint asked.
"Who said we finished the Dark Abyss?" Rex questioned.
The duo just glanced at Rex. They were not sure why he had questioned them like that.
"Did you not kill the Dark Abyss?" The Heavenly Saint asked.
"I killed that one, yes. What makes you think we actually defeated the Dark Abyss?" Rex asked.
A shocked expression appeared on both the men's faces. They were more afraid of it now.
"Do not worry. I have already made a plan. It will involve you two. So, are you willing to hear me out?"
The duo nodded.
Rex began to talk about what his plan was. The group found it quite good. They were just missing one big thing now.
"So what will you etch out on stone?" The Heavenly Saint asked.
"That is for me to know and you both to learn." Rex answered.
The trio stood up and shook hands.
Rex went to go find a big enough stone to write what he needed to.
Once the stone was found, he began writing in Japanese.
"This stone holds the secrets about the Demon King of Annihilation and why they will be born."
Rex went and pulled out an old book that Iris and Liz had gifted him.
"I never would have thought that this book would forever be used like this." Rex said.
Inside the book, Rex explained how the Demon King of Annihilation's Rampage worked. He also explained why the Dark Abyss would always appear. While he was forging the Half-forged Demonic Ring, he made to set a law up so that the two would always fight.
Although the law itself was half-forged, it was still a neat law. One that the Demon King of Will and the Heavenly Saint would forever know about now.
