In front of the temple, a monk came running out.
"Greetings travelers. We had just heard that some visitors came from the lower realms. I hope you enjoy your visit to the Eighth Realm."
The monk then took a better look at the group.
"I am extremely sorry for not realizing it is you two, Madam Margaret and Madam Amber." The monk bowed.
"Do not worry about it. We came from the lower realms for this wonderful couple." Amber stated.
Hearing her, the monk felt relief. He did not want to get into trouble.
"So what is this temple?" Kaede asked.
"This temple is called The Soul Guiding Temple, sir. It has been here for nearly a millennium. The High Monk has been serving here since he was three years old." The monk replied.
Kaede was upset. She thought her chest was a good give away that she was a female. Hearing her voice, the monk took her as the husband.
"Well, what all can the Soul do?" Daiki asked.
"Madam, the Soul has several powers. The first ones are called Soul Partner, Soul Tame, and Soul Mate. You can use your Soul to attack someone but that requires practice and a large enough Soul." The monk replied.
Hearing that, Kaede became fuming. Hearing her husband gets called a woman in front of her. She felt disgusted by this monk.
Daiki heard that and knew that would be the response. Why? He was simply used to it. From traveling around the Earth to traversing the Nine Realms. People who heard him speak thought that he was a female.
"Sir Monk, you have gotten confused between the two. The one who you called a male is the wife and a female. The one you called a female is the husband and male." Margaret said.
The monk asked the couple to speak again and heard their voices normally. The monk felt his entire being at stake.
"I am generally sorry. I have made several mistakes in my poor life. I hope you will forgive me." The monk pleaded.
"Don't you mean genuinely sorry. You said generally sorry." Amber said.
The monk did not realize what he had said. He got up and went to find someone to kill him.
"Why do you want death?" Kaede asked.
"I have made too many mistakes being a monk. I was given two more mistakes before the death sentence. My first one was swapping your identities and the second one was my language." The monk tried to flee.
Margaret and Amber both caught him. He tried to wrestle his way out but failed. Seeing him try to escape, the couple did not understand what was going on.
"Before you die, explain the three Soul whatever they were." Kaede said.
"Fine but I will go and accept my death afterwards."
Kaede and the monk agreed.
"Soul Mate and Soul Tame are on the same level of Soul depth. The two twist the first Soul and the second Soul together. Soul Partner just allows a comfortable setting for beasts." The monk explained.
"That was horrible." Amber and Margaret said in unison.
"Does that not simplify the meaning though?" The monk asked.
"To a degree yes but it is also much more than that. Lead us to the Head Monk." Margaret ordered.
"He is in meditation with a new found tablet. It is said to come from the Fourth Realm." The monk said.
"Did that tablet come from the War Zone with the picture?" Amber demanded.
"It did. Why do you two know about it?" The monk felt smaller than ever before.
"The Sect Masters must have found it." Amber said.
"Either that or they asked him to search." Margaret replied.
Hearing they were going deep into conversation. Daiki and Kaede both began to ask more questions about the Soul Mate.
"Normally how does one use a Soul Mate?" Kaede asked.
"A cultivated woman will learn the details at the age of 12. Here a girl turns into a woman at that age. If she has broken through the First Realm by then. The girl is considered a cultivator." The monk replied.
"How can a Soul Mate be done afterwards?" Daiki asked.
"Are you two married and not use Soul Mate?" The monk asked.
"We were normal people until recently. We tried and could not cultivate Qi until now." Daiki answered.
"Such a blessing has been shown. It is always wonderful to meet normal people who have become cultivators. Please do not beg to watch my death. I have wronged you and you did not know or accept my failures. I will lead you and the others to the Head Monk." The monk said.
The monk started to lead the way. When he came up to the Head Monk's cultivation chamber.
"YES! I HAVE LEARNED A SECRET FROM THE TABLET! GREAT NEWS HAS BEEN GIVEN TO US BY THE GODDESSES!" The Head Monk shouted.
A bell that rang the blessing of the Goddesses was heard. People all around came and bowed to the temple thanking the Goddesses for such a delivery.
The Head Monk came out. Seeing the monk with his head hung low. He was furious.
"Young Monk, this is a joyous occasion. Do not let your head hang low."
The monk tried but his heart felt heavy.
"Greetings Head Monk." Margaret and Amber spoke.
"Greetings. I am glad you two are here. Will you be ascending to the Ninth Realm soon?"
"Of course. These people were ordinary people not long ago and now have been blessed with cultivation. They wish to be enlightened with Soul Mate." Margaret said.
"Of Course. I am second only to the Main Oracle in knowing Soul Powers. What do you wish to know?" The Head Monk asked.
"There are several depths to the Soul. The first one allows Soul Partnership. The range is anywhere between one to three Partners. These Partners will become more savage than normal if abandoned. The second level of the Soul is Soul Tame. This is where a beast decides to reside with a person for eternity. No matter where that Soul leads to.
Finally the Soul Mate, The grandest part of the Soul. When a girl turns twelve, if she cultivates Qi to the First Realm, no matter which one. She would learn about the Soul Mating process. Myself and the Main Oracle have been blessed by the Goddesses to do a Soul Mate Marriage.
Normally it is better for both parties to increase their Soul Strength. Not only does it allow you to perform the ceremony yourself. The cost is significantly less. Seeing who you are with, I'm sure the cost does not matter. The cost of who you want to see the marriage is worth more to you." The Head Monk was joyful.
Hearing his explanation, both Kaede and Daiki both sat down and started to experience something that they did not know.
Seeing them experience an enlightenment. The Head Monk ordered all personal to block the entire hallway. He was not going to allow their enlightenment to be disturbed.
