Rex's parents saw Rex playing with the wolves. They were all excited about how much he truly liked them.
"I want to play with them also. We need to head out." Rex's father spoke softly to his wife.
"Yes. I do wish he would take care." Rex's mother replied.
The parents joined them and spent an hour with them. They made their minds up then.
"Son, we are going to leave now. We should be back sometime in a month. Hopefully sooner but we have to get the recognition of getting the Headquarters built." Rex's father spoke.
Rex looked at his parents and understood that this needed to be done. He wanted to spend more time with them before they separated.
"We need to do two things before you leave." Rex said.
The two looked at each other. Seeing they did not know, Rex told them about the Priests.
"We will hurry to the village." Rex said.
Rex, his parents, Fenrir and his mate, Darkily, Olivia, Margaret and Amber all headed to the village.
Three hours of travel later the group arrived at the village.
The village did not have a name. Looking around everyone looked sad and depressed. In the center of the village, was a grand building. Even the previous two Priest's buildings failed to compare.
"Well, it was not hard to find this one." Rex said.
Darkily and Olivia rolled their eyes. Margaret and Amber both looked at Rex with curious eyes. Fenrir and his mate both looked up to Rex. Rex's parents both gulped not knowing the full story.
Rex went around and told the people to stay inside their homes. If anyone came out before the next sunrise. They would go missing and never be found.
Surprisingly, everyone took the words of Rex seriously. Even the pets were barely let outside to go to the bathroom. The few who had extra straps, made it where their pets would not go more than head outside.
Rex did not head back to the group. He put on his cloak and snuck inside the back. Noticing not many people inside either way.
"Well, this will be good." Rex thought.
With exactly 12 people inside on the bottom floor. Rex killed one and made it seem like he went outside.
Rex had stuck a paper to their pants on their way out. He chuckled and went upstairs to kill the Priest.
Outside
The group was not in front of the building. They moved out of the way to see what would happen. This was thanks to Olivia and Darkily.
"Did he already visit the village and head inside?" Olivia thought.
Not much more than thinking, the 11 people rushed outside. On their thighs a paper was hanging.
"I need to die. Thank you."
Olivia and Darkily knew Rex had done that. Margaret and Amber both started to think the same thing. Rex's parents were worried about their son not coming back.
Olivia, Darkily, Fenrir, and his mate all rushed and killed the group except for two. Bringing back their wounded bodies, Olivia and Darkily both did not want this to ruin the other's lives.
"This is garbage." Darkily cursed under his breath.
In front of the group, Olivia went ahead and broke the man's legs whom she dragged.
"We know who four do not have experience in killing. You do not have to land the killing blow." Darkily spoke and pulled out four daggers. "You just need to stab one person for each of you. It does not have to be the same person but you do have to." Darkily finished.
"Why?" Rex's mother was afraid.
"The cultivation world is a cruel world. Life and Death follow the same string and you have to be strong enough to figxqht it. Rex brought you four here to give you a free breakthrough in any Qi type you desire." Olivia said with a saddened tone.
"Can we stab and then go?" Rex's father asked.
"Yes. Stab a person and receive the rewards." Olivia said.
Each of them did Margaret and Amber both stabbed the one Darkily brought. Rex's parents both stabbed the one Olivia brought.
The stabs were not fatal but the moment they turned around. They received notifications that they helped Rex in killing the Priests. Now they have a free breakthrough in any cultivation.
Margaret and Amber both held theirs until they returned to the Ninth Realm. Rex's mother broke through in her Tamer Qi.
"Congratulations. Breaking through in Tamer Qi allows you to have more Tamed Creatures. Also you can tame or buy creatures at least rank 2 or lower and control them." Rex's mother read.
"Well, I would rather my husband fight for me but seeing this. Maybe we could get something better in the higher realms." Rex's mother thought.
Rex's father also chose the Tamer Qi. What he got was different from his wife's.
"Congratulations. Breaking through in Tamer Qi you can make your basic creatures stronger by injecting your Qi directly. You can also upgrade your basic creatures core. Once you have a creature, you cannot control another one until it reaches the Warlord Rank."
"That sucks but I guess making one strong is better than having multiple weak creatures." Rex's father thought.
Margaret and Amber both led Rex's parents to the stairway. Watching the small group leave, Olivia and Darkily both knew they had to help keep Rex under control.
"At least they had a breakthrough in Tamer Qi." Olivia said.
"They might be able to get a decent creature wherever they are going." Darkily said.
Inside the building
Rex had already killed the Priest and watched his parents get the help in advancement. He was glad they chose to do it in Tamer Qi. If they did not, then he would just find the way to get to the Third Realm.
"Now I have a reason to stay here until they return." Rex smiled.
Slowly making his way out, he was greeted by Olivia and Darkily. Fenrir and his mate both waited for Rex where his parents left.
"Now we can enjoy a good time together." Rex said.
Rex was thinking about the last Priest. Darkily and Olivia understood what Rex meant but still hated that he was really good at this.
"Hopefully, you will not do anything rash because we will have to knock some sense into you." Olivia said.
"Do not worry. I will try not to but make no mistake anyone who dares to hurt anyone who I care about or who cares about me. I will find them and show them how terrible I truly can be." Rex said.
Olivia said Darkily froze in fear because Rex was completely calm in how he spoke. They felt like Rex was a demon in disguise.
"I hope no one dares to hurt anyone you care about." Darkily prayed.
Olivia said almost the same prayer but she mainly said it for her sister and Rex's parents.
