Dax stared at the massive beast. They both just looked silently in each other's eyes. After a couple of minutes, the silence became deafening, and Dax decided to talk to the chicken.
"Leo, sure has been gone for a while." He said. "You sure are making us work for this aren't you?"
The chicken bocked softly and tilted its head as if it was listening to Dax.
"Are you listening to me?" Dax asked. "Can you understand what I am telling you?"
The chicken tilted its head again, all while keeping its eye locked on Dax at all times.
"Rune, is the chicken understanding me?" Dax asked the bow on his back.
"It is a chicken." Rune replied. "Why would you think I would know?"
"I don't know." Dax replied. "I was hoping you were kind of a wise sage that would answer all of my questions. Even if my questions are about a chicken… Okay, saying it out loud, I see it. Sorry for asking something so dumb."
