"Fey?!" Dax asked, his mind raced to the words he had just said and wondered how long Fey had been standing outside the door.
She just continued to look at him, with an expression he was unfamiliar with. Finally, she rushed him and wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly.
"Just kiss me you dummy." She said softly. It was not a tone that Dax was used to hearing, it sounded innocent and pure, soft and fragile, completely unlike Fey's normal voice, which was full of confidence and vigor.
Dax could feel her heartbeat as she squeezed her soft chest against his. It was beating rapidly like she had just ran a marathon, although his own heart was beating just as rapidly as hers, as if the marathon they were in was with each other.
