Ten minutes passed and everyone dined on their salads. They kept their eye to the door waiting for Leo to arrive. Sure enough, after they finished their salads, Leo walked through the door and made a beeline for the governor.
"Excuse me governor." Leo said in as respectful a tone as he could.
"Yes?" The governor replied, eyeing him over trying to place where he knew him from. It then dawned on him just who this man was. "You are the guard captain in charge of the defense of the city are you not?"
"I am." Leo said. "That is why I am here right now, actually. I need you to come with me to a secured location, you aren't safe here."
"What in the devil is going on?" The governor asked. "I can't just abandon my meeting for no more information than that, give me details. I will determine if it is a strong enough reason to hide."
"There is a new monster in town that slipped past our defenses." Leo explained. "It seems to be targeting you for some reason."
