Eithan appeared behind Elysia and tapped her shoulder, "Yes, you are blushing but I guess we have no time for that."
Elysia almost jumped up at the sudden appearance of Eithan behind her. She grabbed her chest and feigned a heart attack, "Dude, you just gave me a heart attack."
"Don't die! My brother will kill me if something happens to you on my watch," Eithan rolled his eyes and reminded Elysia that they had to look for a possible office for her.
"Oh, I was so immersed in looking at the house that I forgot about the office hunting!" Elysia remarked. "Let's go and grab my purse."
"Yeah, you do that! I will be waiting here for you." Eithan watched her run inside in a hurry. A warm smile appeared on his face. He wanted to talk with Elysia about a lot of things, but after witnessing his brother's affection for her, he decided to let the time take its course.
"Come on, let's go." Elysia emerged out of her room with her handbag and goggles.
"Are you serious? We are going out in my car, you don't need that," Eithan pointed at her goggles to which Elysia side-eyed him.
"I am your sister-in-law. Do not try to tell me what I should do and what I shouldn't," Elysia commented jokingly.
Eithan felt a bit weird when she called herself his sister-in-law, but he brushed it off. "Alright, sis-in-law, we should leave now."
They both glanced at each other in embarrassment and then laughed out loud at this.
Elysia controlled her laughter, gazed at Eithan and asked him to take her to the location that she had selected for her office.
Eithan guided Elysia to the car and opened the door for her to enter the car, "Man, you are doing some really weird things for me today," Elysia joked.
Eithan went in the car and started the engine as he drove off. "Yeah, get used to itm. You are my senior back at home and I must respect you. And as per our pack rules, I am nothing but royalty under Luna, the Queen of the pack." Eithan said as he tried to explain to Elysia about her position in the Hunter family.
"Damn! I just wanted to be a normal person with a loving husband and good kids," Elysia blurted out when she heard that. She was still digesting the fact that werewolves were real.
"Uh–Huh! The marriage was to strengthen the power of our alpha and after the unification ritual, you both will share the same compelling power over your pack members," Eithan tried to make things simple for Elysia.
He was aware that Elysia was curious and no one would tell her the little details, so he took the charge himself.
"No, you mean that I will have the same power as Trustin? Like the way he could punch a man right through the wall?" Elysia's eyes widened in shock.
"I don't know about humans. I mean, it's the first time I have seen an Alpha picking his Luna among the humans, so I can't tell about the amount of power you will hold but yes, you will have the authority in your hands of the entire Hunter estate as well as the pack." Eithan simplified things for Elysia and continued.
"But I guess the unification ritual was not yet to be performed, you are nothing but a simple human," He said and smiled mischievously.
"What is that? And how should it be performed?" Elysia became curious and asked Eithan to tell her more about their world.
"Well… When a pack of the Alpha marries, he shares his power with the people who are loyal to him. During the unification ritual the hearts, souls, and bodies of the two become one—" Eithan said and paused as he gazed at Elysia, —And since we didn't feel any increase in our power, we can tell that you both have not done that yet, other than blushing over the phone calls."
Elysia's whole face turned red and she panicked a little when she heard such a thing from him. She barely knew Trustin, how could she even perform such a thing with him?
"Hey, girl, don't think too much," Eithan said when he saw her picnicking over their conversation. "My brother is not someone who would force himself on a sweet girl for some power. He is the most humane in the pack of hungry wolves." He reassured Elysia.
"I–I kind of know that your brother is good but to say that he wouldn't do something to me—I am not sure about that!" Elysia said in a low tone. She could still remember their kiss and the way he teased her this morning.
"Woah! My brother is taking things fast then," Eithan teased Elysia.
Elysia glared at him, "Shut the hell up! You both brothers are shameless."
"Well… that runs in our genes but trust me, my brother needs power to secure his position as the pack Alpha. He could have performed the ritual even without having your heart and soul. Given his power, your body would have been enough. But if he is holding down, this means you mean something to him," Eithan stated.
"Elysia, you are special to my brother and I hope one day he will secure the same spot in your heart as well," Eithan said as he stopped the car in front of their designated location.
"Thank God, we are finally here. I was feeling extremely hot even with the AC on," Elysia pronounced as she quickly exited the car and Eithan followed behind her, handing the key to one of the bodyguards following behind them.
"Come on, what I said was true. If I didn't love you this much, I wouldn't have bothered telling you anything." Eithan ran behind her to catch up with Elysia only to find her standing in front of the two most undesirable people in their life.
"Look, who we have got here," Brigetta said with disgust on her face.
