Chapter 1 - The Legend Of Warlords [TLOW]

-Slash -Slash

Massacre.

The only words that could describe the scene going in front of the little goblin were 'A total massacre.'

Blood flowed as if it was water, and the bodies were lying on the ground like lifeless dolls.

The goblin looked at the scene, trembling. His instincts were telling him to escape from the orc in front of him as soon as possible but of course, the orc wouldn't let him...

...So the only thing he could do was grab a weapon that was supposed to be a sword but barely looked like it.

The Goblin dashed towards the orc who was standing there ready to kill the goblin anytime.

The Goblin's eyes were fixed on the orc ready to counter any attack but then.

Bang—

With a loud bang, The goblin's vision suddenly went dark as he felt a tremendous impact on his head.

The air was knocked out of his lungs, and a forced sound escaped his lips.

"Uahk!"

An iron-like taste lingered inside the back of his mouth as his head throbbed.

Everything happened too fast for him to understand what had occurred.

It was only after his vision returned and he saw a large hand in front of him that he finally understood that he had been smacked against the ground.

That wasn't the only strike the goblin received as the orc mercilessly struck the goblin's head twice.

It was a miracle that the goblin was alive even after taking a few strikes from the giant orc but that was his limit.

The last thing that the goblin remembered before its consciousness slipped away was a giant fist speeding towards him ready to strike his head once more.

[Rain of Calamity.]

Thousands of light streaks fell on the army of monsters completely eradicating them.

Ama, one of the four heroes could be seen shooting arrows toward the monsters killing them one by one.

[Rain of Calamity.]

A golden-coloured orb appeared in the sky which was struck by an arrow launched by Ama.

The golden orb broke into multiple light streaks which rapidly dashed towards the monsters eliminating them.

[Lance of Destruction.]

A youth with golden eyes and jet-black hair could be seen standing on a bare field where thousands of monsters were rushing towards him but all he did was smile.

He grabbed his lance and stabbed thin air or that was what it looked like because...

-Boom -Boom

Suddenly an explosion occurred killing half of the monsters rushing toward him.

[Indestructable Defense.]

A red-scaled giant dragon appeared in the sky and launched flames toward the heroes but...

Suddenly multiple barriers appeared defending many people from the flames launched by the giant dragon.

This spell was cast by a muscular person who wielded a giant shield.

[Unrivalled Blade.]

Fast and furious.

Ryan the sword hero was fast and furious. The way he was fighting against the monsters and the way he was using his sword was very beautiful.

It seemed as if he was dancing amongst the monsters swiftly killing them.

His skills stood up to his skill name [Unrivalled Blade.]

His body shot like an arrow toward one of the monsters as he activated his skill once again killing another monster.

"Wow, this skill is so cool. I am buying the special edition!"

"I know right!?"

After the trailer of the new VRMMO-RPG, THE LEGEND OF WARLORDS [TLOW], was released, all the fans of MMORPG went crazy.

Its graphics were already extraordinary but the graphics of TLOW's special edition was going to be better. Including the realistic feeling, a much better experience was promised with many other benefits and upgrades.

Of course, it was super expensive but for the loyal fans of MMORPG, it was a must-have game.

One of that loyal fans was Lucas. He could barely afford food and shelter but once he saw the trailer of TLOW, he was very adamant about buying.

Five years was the amount of time he spent collecting enough money to buy the special edition which was already old for others!

From eating meals only once a day to not paying the rent of his apartment for months, he has done everything to save money...

...And finally today he collected enough money to buy the MMORPG set of TLOW.

"Damn it! What do you mean by every piece is sold out!?"

"It's been fking five years! And even now there is no set left!?", even though TLOW's special edition was released five years ago the hype about it hadn't gone down even a bit.

Not to mention the new maps, new avatars, and new spells which were updated every month.

There were several MMORPG stores in the town which would sell the set but it seemed like none of them had TLOW'S special edition MMORPG set as it ran out of stock.

Unlike other VRMMOs, where one could just buy a card set or a drive and use a normal headset to play, TLOW had its own headset!

Now there was only one store left that he didn't check out and he prayed from the depth of his heart that there would be at least a piece left.

He quickly dashed towards the store. It wasn't far away from Lucas's current location, due to which he was able to reach there in less than five minutes.

"Huff...Huff"

"I… would like to buy an MMORPG set of TLOW, please."

"Yes. That would be five thousand USD..."

Just five thousand USD?

The price was way higher at the start!

Only the rich could afford it, however, as time passed, the price started to decrease. Needless to say, now there were thousands of games like TLOW, so, many played other new releases quite often.

Listening to the receptionist's words Lucas's face quickly brightened up. He quickly transferred the receptionist five thousand dollars and finally, he touched the case in which the set of the MMORPG was packed.

He couldn't wait to see his new MMORPG set. As the automatic door opened he quickly rushed out of the shop in excitement, but then...

At the same time, a drunk driver was driving a truck. He suddenly noticed a fat man who seemed to be in his thirties quickly rushing out of the door holding a pure white case.

He quickly hit the break but it was already too late.

-Bang.
