-"Why must I be stuck with you!?"-
Lucas, who had almost accepted the fact that Rei was the protagonist, suddenly screamed. This only caused Rei much more inconvenience.
"Damn it! Can you stop shouting for a second!?", Rei screamed, not being able to bear the voice even for a second.
-"How…? Just how is this possible!? Just when I finally thought that I could enjoy the game…"-
-"I HAD TO FUCK UP AND GET STUCK WITH YOU!"- It was as if Lucas went mad for a second.
Actually what happened was, even Lucas hadn't realized that his soul had ended up separating from his body.
Before he could process all the details, Rei had found the helmet and seeing Rei's actions, he just forgot about his circumstance. But it was only now that he suddenly recalled and understood his situation – he was stuck in the HELMET!
"Ugh, what is wrong with you?"
"Don't tell me, you are going to cry…", Rei asked in an unsure manner.
-"Well because I am about to!"-
-"Damn it!"-
Rei only sighed continuously after he heard the voice. He thought that the voice was too weird to cry all of a sudden, however, even he realized that all this time, he had been talking to an entity that he couldn't see.
"Wait a second…"
"W-who are you?", Rei asked, his eyeballs shaking vigorously.
Lucas on the other hand was somewhat emotionally unstable for a moment and after hearing Rei's question, he felt like punching him to his deathbed!
But before any of this could happen, some sound of rustling was heard yet again.
Rei was hiding behind a bush. He was hiding from the humans that had appeared to catch the weird birds.
They had left a while ago and that was the only reason he wasn't chased by them previously when he shouted so loudly.
But now, yet another group of humans had made their way towards the place, in search of the same birds. And this time, they heard Rei's voice.
Confused, they decided to head towards the direction of the voice and found Rei!
Rei, who spotted one of the humans suddenly fell on his butt.
It was partly because Lucas screamed in his head.
-"HUMANS!"-
His entire body trembling visibly.
"H-humans…?", Rei was surprised to see them.
-"RUN!"-
On the other hand, Lucas shouted at the top of his voice, wanting Rei to run away from the humans.
He knew that Rei was in a bad situation.
But Rei could do nothing.
Fear took over him.
Despite being somewhat better than other goblins, despite facing an Orc on his own, Rei, the little goblin, could do nothing when he saw the so-called legendary humans for the first time!
There was a myth – Humans are strong enough to kill a dragon with a single strike.
While this is not exactly true, but there did exist the concept of Dragon Slayers.
The weak monsters feared them purely because of this reason and as they had not really seen any human until now, if they happened to encounter one, their behavior would be similar to that of Rei!
Rei had already spotted a group of humans and tried to be away from them, but as one snuck up close to him, his mind went blank.
Yes, before he could do anything, the human who spotted Rei shouted, "Guys, a goblin!"
Unfortunately, Rei couldn't understand their language. But he could feel their hostility.
The humans had their swords raised. They wanted to kill him.
-"FUCKING RUN!"- Lucas screamed one last time, however, it was of no use.
The slash of a sword coincided with the scream – both resulting in causing Rei to lose consciousness and faint – of course, ending his life as well.
The sword slashed right through his neck which ended his life.
-"Nooo!''-
-"Is this how I will die…? Again…?"-

Rei's eyes opened slowly.
"Wha-", he was about to ask himself about what had just happened but his memories seemed somewhat fuzzy.
But before he could do that, he fell to the ground!
He was floating two metres above the ground when he opened his eyes and now, by falling, he hurt himself again!
Goblins are weak, falling from even a metre would almost break their bones – of course, some exceptions exist.
"Ouch…", he rubbed his head after falling.
As he scratched his head, he recalled everything that had happened. After all that, the first words that left his mouth were – "Was that a dream?"
"…"
-"Dream, My ass! Now you will say something like 'But it felt too real to be a dream!' Or some shit like that."-
-"Wake up to reality! This is not some shit cliche novel or game!"-
With the annoying voice, Rei understood that everything that had happened was real.
"Ha…", and since it was real, he started to tremble yet again.
He could recall his neck getting sliced with a single strike. The pain was real and the experience, it was just too much to ask about!
*gulp*
He gulped a large chunk of saliva as he pulled himself up.
He wanted to get some food for his sisters and brothers, and for that, he wanted to sell the mana stones in the market. Just to be sure that he had the stones, he tried to check his bag in the forest, before reaching the market area.
Then one thing led to another and this happened!
'No mana stones…'
'So I won't be able to get food for them…', he thought and unconsciously started to walk back towards the hut.
He was not watching the path and hence, tripped once again – falling to the ground!
"Ugh…"
He was somewhat pissed and wanted to curse at himself, but just as he had opened his mouth, he heard a voice… a different voice in fact!
*Ding*
[Warning!]
[HP less than 30%.]
"Huh…?"
"Did…"
"Did you change your voice!?", Rei asked while looking at the weird screen and thinking that Lucas had changed his voice, but no, this wasn't Lucas.
This was a system…
