Clifford Wilkinson was a nobody, a failed wrestler for all America could remember. He went out of business at a very young age compared to other wrestlers out there. One would see wrestlers going down the ranking at the age of 50 to 60. But Clifford's time came real quick.
At the age of 32, he face a major defeat that crushed not only his bones but his gut. That was the beginning of his fall. For a man like that to suddenly receive power and rise as the strongest of this ushering era, it was a 'subarashi' situation through and through.
Because he had faced defeat, because he had learnt to be powerless by experience... such power at the hands of such a man was nothing short of iconic. Before now, America could be listed amongst the trashes called nations, nothing was appreciated about them anymore and even their economic value was down real bad.
