At the door, George is standing in the middle of the door frame with a dark face.
His gaze shot directly at Rowan's hand, holding Krishna's palm while the other had her chin.
George was unhappy with the scene before him.
'She's such a seductress!'
Krishna's dress shows so much cleavage any man would be attracted to her alluring beauty.
"George..." Rowan whipped his head toward the door and noticed the grim look on his brother's face.
'What's wrong with him? Although we already know that Krishna is not Florian's mistress, does he still hate her?'
Rowan was not aware why George was displeased to see him being intimate with Krishna. He does not know yet that his brother was actually a selfish man once he was jealous.
Indeed, George is irritated that someone is touching what was supposed to be his.
Krishna gave birth to his son. Therefore, she now belongs only to him.
Oblivious to what caused George's rage, it was weird for Krishna to feel like she was caught red-handed by her husband, and the situation was a matter of life and death.
She shouldn't try to appease the awkward atmosphere in the room, but she could not stand the accusing stare in George's eyes.
Subconsciously, she lowered her head to avoid his intent gaze.
"Thank you for tending to my cuts, Rowan." She quickly smoothens things out. She reached her head and touched the place where it was partly swollen. "Here's my bump, by the way. I hit my head in the window several times."
She then showed Rowan her bump.
Unexpectedly, another hand gripped her nape before the guy could touch her head and pulled her away from Rowan.
"What are you doing?" Krishna was startled when George suddenly grabbed her. 'He's not a gentleman at all!'
"Rowan, get some ice packs." Instead of replying to Krishna, George turned to Rowan and ordered the latter.
Rowan wanted to protest, but he didn't voice out his thoughts. He is only bound to obey. "Okay. I'll get one."
Once he turned around, a flash of irritation appeared on his handsome face.
Meanwhile, at the door, Dillion is rooted on the floor. He dared not step inside after witnessing the silent clash between the two brothers.
Both didn't notice that they were behaving abnormally. But from the outsider's perspective, it was crystal clear the two were competing to impress Krishna and get her attention.
However...
"It will be Sir Rowan's loss. He didn't know Lord George and Lady Krishna had a son together."
Standing behind Dillion, Benny murmured, watching the drama with a thrill.
Looking over his shoulder, Dillion shoots a warning glare at the assistant.
Rowan hadn't learned the truth yet that Krishna and George had a one-night stand that resulted in a gorgeous blue-eyed baby boy being born.
It's not that George didn't trust Rowan, but the former wanted to protect his son and younger brother.
He believed it would be safer for Rowan not to know vital information about him.
Dillion's thoughts drifted somewhere while the three people inside the suite felt the tension rising.
"Do you intend to break my neck?" Krishna sneered, glaring at the man. She confronted him and complained, pushing his hand away from touching her head. "Remove your hand."
George isn't happy being rejected like this. He rarely showed concern, especially to a woman, but Krishna became exempted since she gave birth to his son.
Thus, he will take care of her and ensure her safety.
However, the woman is stubborn.
"You said you had a bump on your head. So I'm checking on it," he said glumly.
Krishna scowled. "I'm fine. All I need is some ice pack to put on my head."
George narrowed his gaze. When Rowan tends to her cuts, she seems not to object but accepts his help at will. Then why is she fussy and rejecting his concern?
"Fine." He gave up and got up on the sofa with a dark face.
Confused, Krishna doesn't understand why he is flinging a temper now. 'He's a certified, overbearing boss, is he? Why is he angry now?'
She was gritting her teeth when Rowan returned with an ice pack in his hand. Thus, she composed herself.
"Here..."
"Thank you."
Krishna accepted the ice pack with a smile. George was disgruntled that Krishna was treating Rowan better than him.
'I've shown her my concern, but she only rejects my help. But if Rowan, she's even smiling at him!'
George didn't hide his displeasure. He frowned, then ordered his assistant with a dark face. "Benny! Show Krishna the room!"
"Ye-yes, boss!" Benny was startled that he stuttered. He rushed inside and halted next to Krishna. "Please, follow me, Lady Krishna."
"Wait! I..." Before Benny could take her away, Krishna looked at George and then glanced at Rowan before her eyes fixed on Dillion. After debating with herself internally, she smiled and said, "I don't have any clothes to change into..."
Krishna twirled her fingers, showing shyness and uneasiness to open up to the four men in the room.
'Gosh. What am I going to do? After what happened tonight, I'm scared of returning to the hotel, and I don't want to bother the people from earlier.'
She feared that more bad guys loomed in the dark, waiting to attack her again. She's not totally afraid for herself.
But she was more worried that other people would get injured because of her. She preferred other people to bother her than the other way around.
Upon hearing her concern, George turned to Dillion. "I want you to phone the Seaside Resort and tell the staff to bring the clothes with sizes that would fit into Krishna."
Seaside Resort is part of the Ocean View Country Club, just below this cliff.
Dillion nodded, then headed to the door and left. As for Benny, George shooed him.
"Go now, Benny."
"Right away, boss!" Benny sprinted his foot and led Krishna to the bedroom hallway. "This way, Lady Krishna."
Krishna followed him in silence. She thought Benny would bring her to a guest room. But she noticed they were heading to George's bedroom.
"Where are you leading me to?" she asked Benny.
When George sent her to his bedroom this morning, he pointed out a secret staircase toward the extra bedrooms on the rooftop. Thus, she was thinking of staying there instead.
Actually, she didn't want to hang around or bump into the crazy owner of this resort, so it was best to stay as far from him as possible.
"Er, Lady Krishna. Okay..." Benny thought it was a good idea if his boss and Krishna stayed in the same room.
In this way, the Graham little prince will have a younger sibling sooner!
'Isn't I a genius? Maybe the boss will raise my salary and give me more bonus!'
Benny hadn't noticed that he was grinning like a stupid monkey.
'What was running in his head? Is he trying to trick me into sharing a room with his crazy boss? Tsk! Benny is not trusted at all!'
Krishna saw through him, so Benny could only scratch his temple in embarrassment.
"Hehe… This way, Lady Krishna."
Benny ushered her toward the rooftop. There are two rooms there, both facing the ocean. One is an observatory room where a giant telescope is positioned in the middle of the room, facing the roof, and she guessed that the glass roof could split open.
"Here's the bedroom, Lady Krishna."
Benny strode toward the bedroom on the right and opened the door. She followed him inside and was amazed by its minimalist modern interior designs.
'When George grows up, I think he would like this room. I will buy him a telescope too!'
Suddenly, her head was full of the future life she wished to give her son. At that moment, Camilla's suggestion came to her mind.
Could it be really better to move here with her son?
"Lady Krishna, I'm leaving now. If you need anything, I'll be downstairs."
Krishna was snapped out of her reveries. She coughed and then nodded at Benny.
"Okay. Thank you, Benny."
"You're welcome, Lady Krishna." Benny beamed and bowed like a knight before he vanished at the door.
Krishna was about to ask the guy why he kept calling her lady when she was only a Graham employee like him.
It bothered her because Benny addressed George by Lord and Rowan as only Sir…
"Whatever…" Krishna shrugged a shoulder and threw away this thought at the window.
She kicked her heels on the corner, slumped her bottom into the nearest sofa, buried her back in the cushion, and closed her eyes.
Soon, her consciousness brought her to the distant past, which she had forgotten already. If it weren't for her one-night stand with a stranger, she would not remember that she had such memories in her childhood days.
She was ten years old by that time...
She remembered they were moving to Spain because someone was chasing them.
On the chase, her mom moved to the backseat to wrap a scarf around her head—binding her eyes and headphones on her ears, then maximizing the volume in her MP3 player.
She also remembered how their car swaggered, and then she seemed to have heard exchanging gunshots. But she could not determine if it was just from the rock music she was listening to.
That incident, she actually forgot about it already.
But after what happened tonight, now she has recollected that incident again.
"Did what happened tonight relate to what happened to our family fifteen years ago?"
'What if? ...'
KNOCK! KNOCK!
Outside, George pushed the door open, interrupting her from recounting her memories.
"You were reeking of alcohol. You should have to take a shower first." George placed a mug on the coffee table as he reminded her.
'Hangover tea?' Krishna raised a brow after glimpsing what was in George's hand.
She stared at the guy who was strolling around, checking on something, then he entered the bathroom after surveying the room enough.
Soon, she heard the running water from the faucet.
'What is he doing? Is he preparing my bath?'
Krishna was still in disbelief that George's treatment toward her had turned from zero to 360 degrees.
Thus, she has been wondering what had happened yesterday.
'Why does this guy suddenly act like a doting husband?'
