"Oh come on why you got to make that face" Jason said pointedly staring at Seth as he and Miko moved over somehow still keeping that shit eating grin on his face which was impressive yet oddly creepy at the same time "Why because you only ever make a face like that when it is guaranteed to get us in to a whole lot of trouble; a whole lot" Seth answered as he rolled out his still aching shoulders "I am hurt" he said in mock pity. "Name one so called time that my great genius plans have gotten us into trouble" Seth starred at his friend for a moment contemplating on if it would be such a bad thing to strangle him right here "Are you serious what about that time you magically found a way to get into the girls changing room but to in fact be caught by the high schools soccer team looking for some more balls to kick" Jason's face instinctively cringed at that "or when you found out that the school kept hordes of chocolate pudding away and for some or other reason you thought the evil teachers kept it away from us in I quote "Chocolate pudding is not For the annoying and boring older people chocolate pudding is made for the young"" we then found the stash of chocolate pudding by breaking into the cafeteria one afternoon after school and stuffed our faces but only to find out that night why they were put to one side it is the longest Seth has spent on a toilet in his life "and-" but before Seth could continue Jason cut him off " Oh come on that chocolate pudding was the best it was just our stomachs didn't agree is all and we got out of the girls locker room fine enough didn't we" Jason gestured with his hands on the air " Yea we got out fine but the only way we did was by sacrificing poor timothy as he was the-" he tried to but Miko cut in "Sacrificed? what's that all about" she looked quizically at the two men with a pained look in their faces they look to each other and back to Miko when Seth said " Let's just say that poor Timothy has no more need to be goalie" simultaneously all three of them winced "Oh" she answered as an awkward silence stretched between as they pitied poor timothy Jason was first to speak "Well enough of that and this will not be the same " he took out his phone and held it next to his head gesturing "I have found the location where those Uni students were killed-"
"Whaat!!" Miko yelled cutting Jason off "Yea I was added to this weird group message chat room just after we all left the exam hall and get this according to the messages apparently the murders happened on campus" he continued as he took out his phone, Seth frowned "You sure? doesn't this seem too good to be true I mean right on the day the Head mistress personally comes through to have a chat with the police who are investigating the murder now out of the blue the murder is supposed to have happened on campus " he looked between his two friends "Wow what a buzzkill right out of the bat" Jason said as he rolled his eyes at his best friend "What you can't expect us to believe THAT I mean it's just some kids or some internet troll in his Moms basement looking to create a social media frenzy right Miko?" he turned to her and saw that she was shaking her head "I don't know" she said frowning " I think it might be a good idea to at least have a look as you said Seth if the murder didn't happen on campus then we wouldn't have seen Mainland police for what another couple of weeks at the least all that would have happened is the Campus police ask a couple of questions in preparation for the mainland police's arrival but instead both the campus and mainland police we saw today well they were seen today and to top it off the head mistress herself came to talk to both police detectives we saw it ourselves right" Seth's eyes widened following Miko's train of thought "Don't tell me" he said to her she nodded "Yea I think the murder actually happened on campus" Seth buried his palm in his face as he looked to his best friend who still had that shit eating grin on his face and said "You want us to go see for ourselves right'" Jason nodded triumphantly "Fine Fine do we know where on campus that this murder supposedly happened" Seth said while gesturing with his hands in the air at that prompt Jason started swiping on his phone "Well let's see shall we" seeing Jason Seth and Miko moved closer to have a look what their friend was looking at it was the group chat he was randomly added and there were quite a few messages popping up:
User125489: This a whole load of bull we all know that the murders are fake some internet kids trying to be funny.
Greenpanda5: Aw come one man don't be a spoil sport apparently there were sightings on Island 3 police and ambulances cordoned off a whole section of one of the residential districts.
User125489: For real that could be any number of reasons why they did that
Ash45: I saw it to just wonder what could it have been
As Seth and his friends scrolled through the message group they had many mentions of Island 3 Toma island Miko was the first to speak up " What you guys think we should check out Toma I mean it is one of the busiest residential and Retail islands on campus" Jason kept scrolling "I don't know it seems to easy I mean everyone will be going then right?" Seth nodded surprised at his friend sound reasoning I mean it is true that if they go to the first place this message group tells them to they will be pretty stupid.
As they kept scrolling deeper through the chat they came across a message which was to eerie to ignore:
Ghoulface: You all are a bunch of worms waiting to be culled from this earth for the great one he will come for you all every single one of you the blood will be drained the body will be offered and the soul will be taken just as we did that group of university students this is just the beginning.
Seth finished reading the message as he looked to Jason "Is this wacko serious" he chuckled "Dude you sure this message group is so reliable as you say" Jason shrugged "Not sure man never said it was, but I have an idea" Seth raised an eyebrow "What idea would that be?" Seth asked quizzically "I am gonna send this Ghoulface person a DM" blankly Seth starred at his friend blankly "Why would you do that? the guys is obviously a maniac could we just leave this now I mean let us just got to the party obviously this chat room is not going to get us anywhere" he said looking between his friends who have both now looked up from Jason's phone Miko as usual was the first to speak up " I totally agree" Seth brightened he knew he could count on her she continued "With Jason's idea this could be interesting definitely more interesting than the stupid party" Seth groaned "Well I have already messaged him and he is typing" Jason said as Seth immediately shuffled back to hover over the phone:
Mightyman1: Yo man do you know where the murders happened?
Seth looked at his friend side eyed "Mightyman1 couldn't you come up with a better name than that" Jason shrugged "What don't you think I am mighty" as he flexed his bicep and smiled Seth rolled at his eyes and he had to agree the amount of names his friend could've chosen mighty man is not so bad he guessed Bing!! a sound snapped him out of his musings as he looked at the phone:
Ghoulface: Ofcourse I was there.
All three of them frowned this was not the answer they were expecting "Probably lying right" Seth said but before anyone could agree another message came through:
Ghoulface: You think I am lying pretty interesting well I guess it would be OK if I let you guys in, we were in need of more anyway.
Seth's frown deepened "This is getting weird guys he is obviously not going to tell-" Bing!! Seth was cut off as another message came through with something attached.
Ghoulface: Have a look at this and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did Toma island was the place to be.
Before Seth knew it Jason had already tapped the attachment that this weird guy sent audibly groaning as he "Dude have you never heard of viruses this is probably back door trojan that is now automatically downloaded on your phone" as Seth tried to yank his friends phone out of his hands trying to see if he could stop the download Jason deftly moved his hand away thwarting Seth's attempt as a video started playing on Jason's phone.
The video was shaky at first and out of focus but as the audio began to come through he could hear some unintelligible mumbling but what he could make out clearly throughout the entire video were terrifying incoherent screams from what sounded like somebody or people being repeatedly hit by something hard as wet squelching noises came after every thump Seth looked to his friends "Turn it off right now turn it off" he yelled Jason nodded eagerly as he fumbled to try and stop the video "It doesn't want to stop my screen is frozen" Jason lifted his phone to show that none of the things he tapped on his touch screen seem to work "Just turn it off" Miko gestured "Just shut it down probably a virus or something attached to video to freak people-" she wanted to continue but Jason phone suddenly started vibrating as a beautiful soothing male voice spoke "I hope to see you soon all three of you" stunned by the elegance in the voice Seth starred dumbly at his friends phone not realizing that the video had ended "Well that was ah something" Jason said with a light chuckle "Yea it was something" Miko answered also lightly smiling "So the question is what do we do now the video did say to go to Toma island" she continued Jason nodded "Well then we should probably go there and see what's happening I mean not to say that we will actually find anything but it could be pretty cool" Miko rolled her eyes at Jason "Cool trying to track down a murder scene is not cool its actually pretty wrong I think I am thinking of rather going to that stupid party and getting inebriated" the two of them summarily started squabbling about the plans for the night.
"Let's go check it out" Seth said cutting through their little argument he knew he was against it at first but he was sure he heard something at the end of that creepy video a voice a voice that he knew a voice that he heard recently and a voice that terrified him to the bone obviously not telling his friends his thoughts they decided to go and see if they could find the scene of the murder Miko was hesitant at first but she was eager in the beginning and with Jason's masterful use of persuasive techniques in the lines of a chocolate cake bribe from the most famous bakery on campus to him cleaning the dojo for a week she eventually agreed in coming with.
With Miko on board Jason was the first to leave to get things ready what that might be Seth had no idea not soon after Miko left as well as she unlike Seth had her own separate apartment and had to make prior arrangements if she was planning on staying out late which always boggled Seth's mind but he knew that some of the students here were the sons and daughters of some of the most influential people on the planet and it wouldn't be surprised if they had their own rules to abide by he said goodbye to his friends not knowing that his life was forever going to change after this night
