Eli-Jar was hospitable, and let George and the others watch as he raised the dead angels sprawled across the earth. Yes, he literally raised them from the dead - a slow but fruitful process of magical reanimation.
George remained skeptical, and so we're the others after some time with thisz Eli-Jar. They discovered he was more powerful and dangerous than they could have ever fathomed, but relating to his history - their heads was tied up in knots.
'He seems too nice and carefree for someone who's children were literally murdered in cold blood before him, and that was definitely not normal.'
George wondered to himself, trying to comprehend the god but unable to. He felt as if a mechanism in his mind needed for the comprehension of this guy was also snatched away - and the sole thought of it, gave chills.
"For generations after my gifting of Supreme Qi to humanity, I've watched you all. And I'd like to say, I'm throughly bored and disappointed." Eli-Jar said as he finished the revival process of another angel, and began his slow hover forward once more.
"What are you saying? How is it possible you gave us Supreme Qi? We basically discovered—!"
"Discovered? Scoff, you humans have still not deduced the origins of the Supreme Qi have you."
Eli-Jar didn't slow down or turn around, but that mocking tone evident in his voice made it clear what his expression was like in Leon's mind. Eli-Jar was looking down upon them, and he seemed have this mindset for a long time.
"I created Supreme Qi with the life essence of a decaying Eternal Abyssal Celestial, one of the most dazzling beasts I've created. Then, with the aid of a few runes and circles like the once you found scattered around Rune Cave, I spread this new energy."
George broke his thoughts and raised his head to give Eli-Jar an apprehensive look, his eyes narrowed and pupils giving off a cold glow. He seemed capable of peering through one's lies, although such tricks were fruitless before Eli-Jar.
"Reason? Why did you spread it at that time? You know I know that doing it at that time gave birth to these soul beasts… But, why exactly did you do it?"
Eli-Jar grinned and finally turned around to give George a curious look, his eyes flashed with understanding before the opening of his mouth to speak in a warm voice, "Chaos. Without chaos, humanity would have been left dancing in the dirt without any true improvement."
"Improvement? So many innocent lives were lost to bring about this your improvement!" Avalyn couldn't help it anymore and shouted in a loud voice. Her face had swelled and she looked as if she was going to blow!
She had lost many of her siblings to the war against supreme humans and even her uncle fell valiantly on the battlefield to their ranged weapons. Now, she's made to know that all that had been for some petty improvement!
"If the humans hadn't taken control over your world with the aid of Supreme Qi, all the creatures [[]] would have been carted off away as slaves, killed, or raped in the invasion of the Alien Shadow Alliance."
Eli-Jar smiled, his eyes as warm as his expression, his voice soothing to the ears,
"Listen child, I see what you wish you couldn't. I know what you can't understand, believes in what you can't comprehend, and created what you'll never decipher."
Avalyn wanted to curse more, but found herself unable to utter a word. Her lashes fluttered as she found her mind going blank, all the muscles in her body seemed to have loosened.
Soon, everyone except George had collapsed to the ground like dead logs of wood. The scene shocked George, who was looking around himself carefully.
Eli-Jar smiled softly, turned around completely and stopped his hover forward. He seemed to be grinning even broader than before now, and his eyes had narrowed down to upside down crescents.
"Hehe, it seems like you are the prophesied chosen one I'm looking for, the hero with potential to take his place amongst the hosts of heaven."
"Really?"
"Well, not really. It's just something I said to lower your guard against me. Kid, I won't kill you or anything."
"I'm over three hundred years—"
"You're still a kid, now shut up and listen to me. What I'm about to tell you is something you must not take down lightly as it is deeper than you think."
George frowned, he didn't quite get was the old man was saying but he nodded his head anyways. He was curious to know in what direction was this short and simple conversation heading towards.
"You see, you kids stepping in this place had caused a lot of problems for your petty little world. In simpler words as deeper words would confuse not just you, you have accidentally kickstarted an apocalypse."
Eli-Jar paused for a while before adding in a soft, and calm voice,
"It's a bit more complicated, and I'm not going into the details. But, fact is that an army of what I call [Demonic Angels] - undead angels who consume to gain strength are currently rising up from the earth as we speak and attacking the populace."
George was stunned, unable to keep up with the pacing. After a while, he settled down and thanked Eli-Jar for pausing and giving him time to digest this information. Soon, he feel into deep thoughts.
It seems his appearance here seemed to have made some kind of time bomb go off, releasing a group of demonic angels on we supreme earthlings. Now, how is that supposed to be his business?
"You see, I have been planning to doing some research on the life essence of these [Demonic Angels] and would like you to kill them for me."
George was stunned, but he quickly regained his composure to yell just in time, "I'm not your hired gun or something so what makes you think I'm going to go running around like a fool killing every of these [Demonic Angels] I see?"
Eli-Jar smiled knowingly, and that smile gave George chills… Really strong, and violent chills ran down his spine, as a cool wind spiralled around him.
"Truth is you don't have a choice, but to unhappily work for me…" Eli-Jar smiled as he spoke, after speaking he turned around and began to walk away, "You can either work for me, or die when you return."
George was stunned.
Him, a monstrosity at the peak of Supreme Qi Cultivation, die? That was nearly impossible unless he ran into a hostile entity with a power level similar to Eli-Jar.
Unless...
"Yes, as an incentive for you to work faster. I sealed your cultivation with a very powerful art that would be difficult for you to break."
"Why are you doing this?" George squeezed out with his lips quivering, his eyes bloodshot and skin pale - he looked lifeless. All the hard work of centuries, all the sacrifices.
"Sigh, child. It may seem wild and abrupt for you now, but as you grow you'll understand." Eli-Jar who had walked a great distance away from the frozen George smiled softly and turned around, "Is there anything you'd like before your leave?"
George nodded abruptly. He didn't need to think twice or thrice on this.
"Yes, just one question. I wanted to know, why out of all of us here, I am the one who gets to work his ass off for you." George spoke softly, his eyes narrowed and expression growing bland. He was eagerly waiting for it, that answer...
"Because, you're the best character for this job I'm giving out. You'll definitely understand in a few more years of brutal struggling."
And with this, Eli-Jar drew a couple of magic circles in the air with his fingers and a few runic patterns around them. After he was done, he smiled.
"When you're strong enough, come back to see me. Hehe, maybe I might actually consider breaking the seal."
George who heard this, forced a smile. He sighed, watching as his body began to fade away in shimmering fragments. He was unable to stop the process, nor did he have to right to protest.
"The feeling of not being in control of the situation... Of not being able to face your troubles..."
