'Why didn't I start playing as soon as the game was launched, I would have been one of the top ten' Alex pouted as he saw the paying features.
Being one of the top three players was Alex's aim but now even if he's just one of the top ten he would be paid.
Alex looked through the information one more time before clearing the screen, now that PvP was enabled he would need to be careful, he was outside the city so even if two players fight each other no one was there to interfere.
'I'm sure no one would be in the mountains, being a group is one of the best options now, at least you would have people watching your back' Alex said inwardly.
Alex couldn't stay in the mountain region because of fear, so he moved towards the city in front of him, in a few minutes he was on a path that leads to the city.
Only a few players were on the path to the city, he could see their names and levels hovering above their heads and he was sure they could see his.
Two players are close to him and both of them were level 4 players, Alex wasn't afraid of them but he didn't know the class they belong to, even the players were scared of Alex so they maintained a certain distance.
Alex couldn't afford to be killed as his items and coins would be split in half, they were valuable stuff in his inventory that he couldn't afford to lose.
Finally, they got to the city gate, the gate of the city was slightly large and it was divided into two parts, coming into the city or leaving the city.
Alex approached the gates in front of the city gates and the name of the guard and level was hovering above his head.
[Alfred]
[Level 40]
The guard was a huge man with a fierce-looking face, he looked at Alex without a hint of emotion on his face.
"Are you a visitor?" the guard asked hoarsely.
"Yes," Alex replied quickly, the level of the guard was insanely high, this game made the guard so none of the players would be able to defeat them and throw the city into chaos.
There were many features in the game that made it very interesting, first was the idea of being a king or a ruler.
A player can conquer a kingdom and become the ruler of the kingdom, but to do that the player would need to have an army of either NPCs or players.
"50 Blue coins..." the guard said to Alex.
Alex opened his inventory and fifty coins appeared in his hands, he gave them to the guard and the guard moved aside for Alex to step inside the city.
[Welcome to Melmond]
[Ruler- Lord Boreas]
A smile flashed on Alex's face as he stepped inside the city, though the city was not that big it was beautiful. The houses were built in rows and decorated beautifully.
Beautiful women in fancy clothes roam the street while NPCs and players admire them, they looked like Nobles but Alex couldn't tell.
First on Alex's list was the merchant store, he had plenty of items that he wanted to sell and then he would buy better equipment if they were any around.
This was Alex's first time in the city so he didn't know his way around, he opened the map on his status page and zoomed in.
The map contained the location of all places within the game so as Alex zoomed in all important location of the city was revealed, and all the important shops in the city were at one location on a particular street.
Alex walked through the street till he got to his location, the street was bustling with players and NPCs buying and selling different items.
Players had to squeeze through to get to their destination, NPC guards were around and each of them were level 50 and above.
Food stalls and restaurants were also available, the street was exactly like a market, Alex walked through the street till he found what he was looking for, the merchant shop.
As Alex arrived, he found two merchant shops in the area, but only one was present on the map, which means the second shop wasn't recorded on the map.
Only one of the shops was bustling with players that had items to sell, but the shop that wasn't recorded on the map had no people in it, Alex choose the shop and entered.
'If it isn't on the map, then maybe it's new or it's just a merchant that travels around' Alex thought.
"Hey there," the man behind the counter stood up immediately after Alex came in.
[Sid]
[Level 30]
"Hi, I have some items," Alex said.
"Okay, can I take a look at them" Sid spoke in a calm voice.

Alex opened his inventory and looked through his items. He had accumulated items that was sure to fetch him a lot of coins, but he wasn't going to sell all of them.
Alex wasn't going to sell the level boost, his steel dagger, light orb, the demon's blade, and his mask, the rest of his items were going on sale.
[Shiny Crystal - Rare]
[Adult Deer Skin - Rare]
[Adult Deer Meat - Rare]
[Deer Antlers - Rare]
[Short sword - Common]
[Sword - Common]
Alex brought out the items one after the other and the man took a close look at each of the items deciding the price.
Alex looked around the shop and a few dust-covered items were displayed, the man wasn't trying to sell any of this.
Alex brought out the crystal last and the man's face curved into a smile, quickly the man took the crystal and stare at it intensely.
The man dropped the crystal on his desk and quickly bent down to bring something out.
Alex moved from where he was standing to the other side and brought out his steel dagger, maybe the man was trying to bring out a flintlock and shoot at him.
