Martha and Mary let go of Alex as he wasn't in pain they were supposed to hold him down when he starts to struggle but nothing happened, Jessica turned around to mix more potions so she could continue with the experiment.
"Je..." Alex wanted to call out to her but his head felt heavy, his tongue bitter and all his strength sapped away, instead of sharp pains that were visible the crystal was starting from Alex's insides.
He wasn't able to open his mouth to speak or raise his hands to give signals that something was wrong.
