Chapter 1 - Chapter I: Monster

Blizzard is modified through every distance, where nothing less is glimpsed to be seen. With each amount of wind howling through the undeniable lasting snowstorm, the little lad exceedingly walked the cold silent snowy road, his limp body staggered with each step taken forward as his skinny legs followed with cold blood on the snow.

"Hun..."

"...gry" His dry, wounded lips open with difficulty saying the words forcefully.

Walking further away, he staggered without any energy left in him to continue forward, with the already worn blanket covering him trying to sway away his fragile hands clutching it as if depending on his last breathe, but awfully that was all in vain the strong wind influence heavily with the blanket, at that moment the boy did nothing but halt in his movement.

His head gently raise, with complete emotional expression those eagle royal blue eyes of his look to the already howling snowstorm flying away with his torn piece blanket. With no sentiment, however full void of moodiness, the little boy sits in the frost weather and slowly lay down.

Clutching his legs and knees to his stomach, his eyes blank without a single gesture to his pupils, a crook smile unexpectedly appears on his thin wound lips.

"Food!" He muttered.

Precisely at that instance, overreach boots' footsteps could be heard stepping on the soft snowy street similarly to matching a clean land without any disturbance of the limitless weather.

"Hey!"

"What's the matter, what's with the stop?"

A harsh voice upheaval questioned the two men in front of the row who stopped entirely, pausing everyone from their movement.

"T-That because t-there i-is a k-kid here."

One of the men stuttered in surprise, staring at the ground.

"What the hell are you —"

Stepping to the man in the first row, a skinny tall man angrily provokes while his eyes unspecified look to the boy's side laying on the snow without any meaningless expression.

"...."

"What kind of joke is this?" The tall man quiet then provokes even more. "Why is there a kid here in this kind of climate?"

"Who knows maybe he got lost and ended up here."

A bulky-looking guy in the team suggests.

"I have my doubt, why would a kid get lost somewhere like here, I mean this place is off-limitless for any humans."

One of the men implies, glancing at the kid's side, "Don't you even see, he looks like a four or five years old child."

"...."

A cold silence follows that, without a joke, the shortest man among the group is fully right, all five of them know this place is barren never to step foot by a human and in such case, a single little five years child cross that without an issue.

"Come on now, no need to be serious..." The tall man applies awkwardly.

"He's a mere child, not a threat."

"At least let's try asking him how he got here!" Said the lanky who didn't even speak until now, while stretching straight to the unusual boy.

"And why don't the rest of us form a division and search through the area, you know, for any clarification."

"Yes, sir!"

All men uproar respectfully and scattered, leaving only the captain and the boy.

"Okay, the boy will you mind telling me where you come from?" He said. Stopping initially one inch from the poor soul observing.

'What an odd boy, what's with him?'

The man mindfully utters stating the obvious, to the boy's expression showing no signs of care, nor threat.

'Seriously.' He sighs, as he crouches down, his hand slowly reaching the child.

"Hey, kid —." With his index finger close to the kid's nostrils, feeling how normal the boy breathed, he decided to touch the being's body but froze halfway through his words when he found how warm the being's body is even in this blizzard's frostiness.

"What's this, why is his body too warm." With a confused emotion, "Hey!"

Captain was dazed in wonder, currently, the boy's pupils were struck with awful shock, he glances at the man and the child's mouth gently opens as he murmurs words.

"Hey, speak clearly." Encouraging the kid to speak more normally, he leans his ear close to the being's mouth.

"Smell... delicious."

"Huh?" In the span of shock not of understanding, the man's brain wavered in incredulity.

"Ah...Ah..."

"Ackkkk!"

Thereon only his scream could be heard, when unknown to him the boy rashly open his mouth and bite his ear out.

With his piece of ear cut off from him, the captain's hands panic touches his right cut-off ear, while feeling the enormous affliction with his trembling hands, he stares at his blood and then at the boy.

Likewise, to a soulless being, chew down the ear, with deep blue eyes intrigued at the man's shattered facial expression.

Only to see the boy's expression become a scary, face with such triggered scenery, the child appears humanly calm.

"M... Monster." With his choked throat, he slowly breathes out one word.

"M-Monster." Repeating the same word his entire body trembles immensely in fear.

As his body stiff, the man try hard to shift away little by little, the minute he perceived the boy's body moving unhurriedly as he tried to get up.

The boy's body gradually moves and sits on his knees, only staring down, until the time the captain comprehends the child's reaction, he greatly shifts away.

Then all of a sudden, his brain thought:

'Damn, run. Run. Run.'

Swallowing down the spit to his dry throat, he uneasily grits his teeth, repeating the same phrases in his mind he picks up running in anxiety, and unconditional tears roll down his cheeks, he was horrified, horrified that he found out who the child was meant to be.

"H...help!" He rebuked out.

[Vieavas!]

Paused. Just immediately the captain stiff, the period the boy spoke differently without lifting his head, his thin hand raised pointing at the dismay man's back while the captain completely collapse on the ground.
