At the airport...
"Welcome to Guangzhou," the receptionist said as she welcomed everyone inside the airport. Her voice parroted throughout the terminal as she welcomed everyone present.
"Please take your luggage to the baggage claim area."
Everyone moved to the baggage area to claim their luggage. Li Xia was standing at the edge waiting for her luggage to come. It was 4:00 Am and she hadn't slept much, but she was wide awake.
It's been 2 years since she last visited Guangzhou. She missed it a lot and wished that she'll be able to spend some time with her family. Her luggage arrived after 5 minutes. She clutched her suitcase and proceeded to exit the airport.
As soon as she stepped outside. The weather was a bit cooler and damp. Because of the drizzle that just ended. The sun has still not arrived yet. The sky was pitch black. There were only a few scattered stars.
