Chapter 60 - The heronator 1

"In this life…"

"I want to be… a hero!!!"

Lin said as he crossed through a portal that emerged in mid-air, skydiving through the atmosphere with runes on his ears and a screen in front of his sight.

On the screen, a stunning snow-haired woman with a white sclera talked to a domineering Advent that stood with an uncaring posture.

Despite the scary visage, the reporter gave a cheerful disposition as she wore a white-lengthy coat that matched her milky long hair and blue leggings that exhibited fashion and exquisiteness.

The Advent had an uncaring reaction to the news as he laid on his back the prescient walls and looked outside and admired the scenery.

And not only him, but even the other Advents in the room also did not fret too much at the situation and went about performing their daily routine.

"You are the famous upcoming reporter, Loe Lemminton, right!"

The Advent asked with a high-handed tone as the screen on his arrogant robotic mug flashed with a smile.

"Yes, I am the upcoming reporter— as you have said, and its Louie for your information-"

"Alright now… don't care, listen here, three minutes, yes, that's all we need. That is the amount of time to show that only we can handle these situations…and it can't be you, want to know why, cause you are just a re—por—ter."

"I-"

"Three minutes! Do I need to spell it out for you? Th…ree-- three!"

The advent then raised his fingers to her face, which she shoved away and turned to the flying object that recorded the whole event.

< Well, you heard that, folks! Three minutes>

Lin closed the screen and nodded his head with his gaze focused before doing a bunch of acrobatics, swerving through the air like a sparrow, calming down his rampant mind and reducing the chances of blunders.

"I can do this!" he thought after sufficiently getting in the mood.

[Swish!]

Waves of breeze cleared away, rapidly colliding on his face as he crossed through the sky, gradually heading to the beautiful skyscraper metropolis below him.

His hand strayed to his back and slightly curled up his legs with his head tilted. Soon, he transversed to the top of the building with no anxiety as he drew near, only mere meters away.

As he rapidly closed on to what would be a fatal collision with the reflective exotic glass materials.

() A portal materialized at the top of the colossal luminescent tower, surrounded by a grid glass barrier at the sides.

[Ripple!] ...

Lin flipped upon entry as white mana thrusters surfaced underneath his blue-red striped flip-flops. Eventually, the thrusting patterns materialized in his hand halfway through the cycle and crossed to a busy skyway that existed on the other side of the spatial gateway with Lin barely clutching the bars on a black pod upon arrival and shifting the direction of his propeller to the orientation of the flying bullet-shaped contraption.

After a few laps with his borrowed ride, Lin noticed his target at a location a couple of blocks away and grinned like a Cheshire cat.

"Found--you."

Lin said with a smile, watching an escaping micro spaceship that ruthlessly fled at alarming speeds compared to the rest of the vehicles. He glanced at the surroundings around his mark, viciously tracing the trajectory of their planned routes and the gaps in the establishments like domino pieces.

.

.

.

{ACCELERATED THOUGHT!]

As he activated the ability, he immediately let go and was flung across the unnaturally dangerous swarm of machines,

[Room!] [Voom!] [Riim!]

Numerous non-land vessels dangerously passed by him, forming a beautiful atmospheric sky performance as Lin danced past the collision of mechanical flyers.

() A rift in space popped up ahead with a flicker of light as a blue long train-like pod and Lin headed towards it with the fugitives unaware of their chaser on the opposite side of the unnatural entrance.

Inside the robber's pod

[Bang!]

"Arrogant Bastard!" a squid-headed man shot a floating rectangular screen in front of him with the dark-as-night arm-blaster that fiercely mounted his slimy hands.

"Those damn Advents, they think they control anything! Why don't I go to their homes and fuck up their mother?!"

The squid-faced criminal gritted his teeth behind his tentacles as he mashed the controls, startling the driver in the process, who was a blocky man that looked like a Rubix cube from afar, but like a collection of spheres from nearby, wearing a suit stained by an array of different colored bodily fluids, swerving right and left, almost hitting countless buildings a considerable amount of times.

"You would be dead in a nanosecond if you tried Klaric!" Said a man dressed in a hazmat suit that fitted him a bit–too much, as there were no wrinkles from its movement and only a smooth texture, sitting at the back of the pod that looked like a getaway bus but more modernized, with other lawbreakers and victims of their actions, held at gunpoint.

"And…Who the fuck asked you? Huh--That's what I thought, as expected of a fucking, Tyler!"

Klaric said as he pushed Tyler, rendering him to fall to the ground, but easily ricocheting back on impact.

"Yeah, yeah, make fun of me all you want won't change that fact."

.

"What's that?" A figure with a flying pyramid glass head and two assets on her chest clarifying her gender pointed to a circular construct that revealed a train-like pod and a man flying at the top of it.

The driver moved out with caution and his experience as a specialist in this art, but Lin---standing at the top of the snake-like conveyance, stabbed his staff in and used his mana to compel it to change directions with its rear curving toward their path.

The operator skillfully came to a halt, doing a bunch of completed maneuvers and successfully evading the tail of the sky-craft, and Lin chuckled in astonishment before emitting a non-linear streak of mana from the staff that glide to them in dazzling bright light, going at streaking speeds and wavelike motion.

[Bang!]

It slammed the flanks of the flying device, discharging a clamount noise after it hit while radiating a bright glow with sparks that collided with the buildings, with the pod stirring out of control.

Lin's eyes darted around, his vision shifting at an unnatural rate. His pupils appearing as blurs!/afterimages.

He closed his eyes with his mana flaring and mind crystal clear as he contemplated his observation and pushed the staff deeper into the metallic frame that carried his person.

{Spatial shift}

The ability manipulated the mech he mounted to dive into the wrongdoers at breakneck speeds. The hostile pod controller gritted his teeth with his blocky frame continuously rearranging itself with his vision blurry from the sweat that stained his frame and complexion.

He used his maneuvering craftsto balance himself in the air and narrowly avoid a fatal calamity before he could finally relax his tense nerves.

[Boom!]

The mechanical beast that resembled a train crashed into them, propelling their ride to the ground like a meteorite.

[BOOOM!!]

Lin barely opened a portal in front of the train, saving it from the fate of a disastrous impact. The robbers were not so lucky.
