The Origin Daos
That night, Matthew didn't cultivate to advance his Qi Cultivation but instead to reinforce his foundation. He had just barely broken through earlier that day and had yet to consolidate his gains.
Therefore, in order to ensure his cultivation base didn't regress due to improper management, Matthew slowly absorbed Spiritual Qi and healed his somewhat deformed Qi Cyclone.
By this point, his foundational wisp of Chaos Qi had already turned his first Qi Cyclone almost entirely murky gray, but because he had compressed it all to a fine point, the center of the cyclone had turned into a dark, matte black color that even Matthew got chills looking at.
The darkness that sat in the center of his Qi Cyclone was so eerie that even Matthew, its owner, was scared of it.
Senior Wudi said that it wouldn't harm Matthew and would only help him, but still, it was creepy.
Ignoring that, though, Matthew's Qi Cyclone was currently in a state of remission. After being compressed so much, the cyclone got slightly damaged and was now in a weakened state. So before it could truly become a Qi Cyclone, it needed a bit of help.
However, since the Spiritual Qi Vein underneath him was absorbing almost all of the already very little Spiritual Qi that was on Earth now, Matthew wasn't able to fully heal it.
He estimated that it would take about another two or three days until he could heal it. This meant that until he was able to heal and consolidate his first Qi Cyclone fully, Matthew wouldn't be able to use it to its full potential. At most, he would be able to reinforce his body slightly, but external emission would be impossible.
Thankfully, there wasn't a single threat on Earth that could force Matthew to use his Spiritual Qi yet.
After fighting against the Chaotic Universe's top genius for more than 5,000 years, Matthew's combat experience was far too advanced to get hit by anything on Earth.
Even pistols and other types of hot weapons wouldn't be able to hit him as long as he was prepared for them. Sniper rifles, though, were a concern. They were far too fast.
Still, barring a heavy weapon like a sniper rifle, Matthew would be invincible on Earth even without his Qi Cyclone. With it, he would be completely fine, even if he were hit head-on.
Of course, there were also missiles and bombs that could threaten him, but Matthew wasn't an idiot. He wouldn't go around threatening the U.S. government during such a chaotic time and get himself bombed.
So, while the situation was indeed annoying, Matthew wasn't too affected.
The gains he got from the blackhole Qi Cyclone were already so massive that such a tiny side effect didn't matter much.
A night quickly passed, and Matthew's cultivation session was over.
Once the sun started rising, Matthew, who was sitting in the basement in a lotus position, opened his eyes.
Since cultivating didn't do much for him during this time, he thought that it would be good to help everyone else start their cultivation journey.
There were still six months before the seal fully broke, and while the side effects he would suffer every time he broke through a realm would be annoying, once the Spiritual Qi Vein under the house stopped absorbing most of the Spiritual Qi, it wouldn't be as bad.
Most likely, he would be able to heal the Qi Cyclone with just a few hours of effort. Compared to the multiple days of work he needed to put in to heal it now, it was the difference between the sky and mud.
Matthew was slightly annoyed by the greedy Spiritual Qi Vein, but the investment-to-return ratio it gave him made him forget any annoyance.
Even though it was currently only able to be a leech to the group of five, once it finally managed to return to its glory, the Spiritual Qi Vein would become their greatest helper.
Until then, though, it would only be a freeloader.
Giving his aching limbs a quick stretch, Matthew walked up the stairs and into the house.
Waking up the twins, Matthew forcibly dragged the two out of their beds and outside.
Amand and Eva didn't have a cultivation base like he did, so they weren't able to replace sleep with meditation and still needed a normal amount of sleep. But the twins were different.
They were already in the Meridian Opening Realm and the 3rd stage at that. So, while they still needed some sleep in order to function at full capacity, they didn't need eight hours of it like the two mortal women.
Staring at the two preteens who were groggily standing in the sun in protest, Matthew had an urge to do something, but after some deep breaths, he calmed himself down.
Walking over to them, he grabbed both of their palms and poured some of his Spiritual Qi into their bodies, revitalizing them while also waking them up fully.
Spiritual Qi was a building block for every human and had great healing properties. It was the main reason why cultivators could live for so long. Even just a tiny bit of Spiritual Qi could turn a bedbound patient into a revitalized track star. So when it was poured into John and Joanne, who already had some cultivation of their own, it instantly woke them up.
Unable to act tired anymore, the twins eventually gave up on their act and gave Matthew their attention.
"I assume Senior Wudi has told you about the various myriad daos in the universe, and what Origin Daos do you two need to comprehend?" Matthew asked, and once he received a nod, he continued, "While I don't know what the foundational daos are for the Dao of Creation and the World, I do know one thing. All three of us are going to be forced to comprehend two daos. The first is the Dao of Five Elements, while the other is the Dao of Four Extremes."
"Do either of you know what these daos are and what they entail?"
John and Joanne honestly thought that Matthew was just speaking gibberish in the second half of his lecture and shook their heads.
Sighing, Matthew started to explain what his previous words meant.
Senior Wudi had told Matthew what the foundation of their plan against the Lord of Chaos would be, and it centered around the Chaos Dao Orb.
Senior Wudi had told him before that the only way to kill the Lord of Chaos was to sever his connection with the Chaos Dao Core. If Matthew didn't do this, as long as the Lord of Chaos had a connection with it, he could revive infinitely.
However, the Chaos Dao Orb was special. The method to sever the link didn't involve any special fighting tactics or having to sneak next to the core and do something manually, but something very simple.
Unlike any other treasure of that grade, the Chaos Dao Orb didn't have any consciousness. Despite this flaw, it could still sense the entire Chaotic Universe easily. And through instinct alone, the Chaos Dao Orb would link itself to whoever had the highest comprehension of the Chaos Dao.
And when it linked it to a cultivator, it gave them an overwhelming amount of benefits. An infinite lifespan and unlimited revives were just a few of them.
So, in order for Matthew to stand a chance against the Lord of Chaos, he needed to start to comprehend the Chaos Dao. John and Joanne were also in a similar situation.
Unlike his Chaos Dao, John and Joanne need to comprehend the Creation and World Daos, respectively, to a terrifying degree in order for them to steal the Creation and Word Dao Orbs from the Lord of Creation and World God.
The only problem was that the Chaos, Creation, and World Daos were just one single dao.
The Dao of Chaos, Creation, and World were supreme daos that, if comprehended, could grant a cultivator unlimited control of a certain cultivation path—Chaos for Spiritual Qi, Creation for Soul Qi, and finally, World for Vital Energy. But because of the grand abilities one would get once they comprehended it, there was a high requirement.
One couldn't simply comprehend the Dao of Chaos or the other two Origin Daos. No, they had to comprehend a variety of other daos as a foundation before combining all of them into the grand Origin Dao.
Senior Wudi had told Matthew that in order to comprehend the Dao of Chaos, he needed to comprehend four other daos, each being a monster in its own right.
The Dao of Spacetime, Yin-Yang, the Five Elements, and finally, the Four Extremes.
After, and only after, a cultivator comprehended these daos, they were able to get a chance to understand the Dao of Chaos. However, even then, the chance was slim, as in order to combine four extremely ranked daos, a universe-class level of luck, talent, and skill was needed.
And even then, it still wasn't guaranteed.
Senior Wudi had previously said that he and his disciples had only managed to comprehend their Origin Daos with the help of the Origin Orbs at the center of each of the three universes. Without them, they most likely wouldn't have been able to accomplish the feat without countless years of seclusion and mediation.
This was also why the Lord of Chaos was forced to look for Senior Wudi and ask for help comprehending the other two Origin Daos. At first, he was arrogant and thought that with his talent, comprehending the other two Origin Daos would be easy, especially since he had already comprehended the Dao of Four Extremes, which was in the other two.
Years passed, and he was proven somewhat right. After a few billion years, he was able to comprehend the other daos at an equal level. But that was when his comprehension stagnated.
Since he had already comprehended the Dao of Chaos, his mind was already too used to its properties. Because of this, he was never able to fully combine the other foundational daos and comprehend the other two.
It was like the old trick of forcing someone to draw a circle and a square at the same time.
Once one part of your body was forced into some sort of rhythm, it was extremely difficult to force the other part of your body into a completely different one.
Embarrassed yet unwilling to give up, the Lord of Chaos looked for Senior Wudi, which then brought us to the current time, when Matthew was lecturing the twins.
"Joanne, listen to this seriously, and don't joke around. The foundational daos for the Dao of World are the Dao of Five Elements, Yin-Yang, Life, Four Extremes, and finally, Light and Darkness."
"And John, for you, the foundational daos for the Dao of Creation are the Dao of Life and Death, Five Elements, Eight Trigrams, and Four Extremes."
John and Joanne were playful, but they also knew when it was serious, so after Matthew told them this, they nodded, imprinting this information into their youthful noggins.
However, at the end of it all, Joanne still had a question.
"Matthew, I know what the other daos are, but what the hell is the Dao of Four Extremes? I've never read a novel with one of those." Joanne asked with a raised hand.
Not bothered by the question, Matthew answered patiently.
"Just like how the Dao of Five Elements is a combination of Earth, Water, Metal, Wood, and Fire, the Dao of Four Extremes is a combination of Lightning, Wind, Ice, and finally Gold."
Slightly confused but still thankful, Joanne nodded her small head and started thinking to herself. Matthew didn't bother her much and let her go off in her mind.
With how many cultivation novels the girl had read, she probably knew more about the Chaotic Universe than most people in the Outer Region. This was great news, as Matthew didn't have to teach her anything other than cultivation. It was also because of this that Matthew was a bit scared about John's future.
Matthew didn't reach much of that "Battle Throughout the Ages" novel, but he did know that it had valuable lessons that any promising genius would need.
Never underestimate the darkness in the human heart; trust no one but your family and friends; value kindness and repay generosity; and many more things were constant themes in the book.
Since Joanne knew all of this beforehand, she was going to be saved from many catastrophes. But John wasn't so lucky, hopefully, though he would be able to catch up before they truly entered the vast Chaotic Universe.
Moving on from that point, Matthew began to impart to the twins various things he thought would be important in the upcoming months.
From how he wanted to establish a safe haven to what type of plans he had when it came to the Earth's future secret realms.
He was only one man, and while he was strong, Matthew couldn't be everywhere at once. There were also bound to be changes that he wouldn't be prepared for.
So, should something go wrong and he be forced to make sudden plan shifts, he wanted the twins to be ready.
Matthew didn't want to just thrive on this earth; he wanted to dominate!
Every chance would be his, and every inheritance as well. It was greedy, but what the hell did Matthew care about?
Other than the twins and the two women in this house, nothing mattered to the man. Whether he was called a greedy devil or some monopoly-hungry freak didn't matter to him. Only strength did.

There is now a discord for this novel. However, be warned. It is rather bare bones. I suck at Discord. The link is in the synopsis.
