Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

I ended the call before they could say anything, giving an impression of being serious about my business. However, I was slightly flattered by their creation and the respect they gave me.

I looked up to Sarah, and she loosened the straps of the android's legs, and we let him loose. He stood up and repaired himself before he could take off to the guest room upstairs. It seemed like he was already comfortable with the surroundings and knew my house well.

The next day, we went to the specified place and to keep on the safe side, I took the handgun and pressed on the back of the Hafiz so that if something ugly happened, we would have leverage against them.

In a while, a group of teenagers walked past us straight into the doctors' hostel, which was further west. I had no reason to doubt that this was my opposite party, but how they brushed off any suspicion was commendable. But at the same time, I had not lost faith in the childhood innocence of human beings; I also had the apprehension that they were medical students coming back from their daily routine as everyone but the last had stethoscopes hanging around their necks.

It was now past noon, but no individual would, I suspect, as the developer of this moron android. After a while, I was very annoyed by the no-show of these brats, so I decided to leave the venue. As I started to leave the parking lot, my phone rang. I picked it up, and the same voice started the conversation.

"At first, we thought it was safe for us, but noticing three cameras on the building eaves board, the door and the parking entrance forced us to leave the venue. I was watching you and waiting for you to come into the car so we could talk," I was really annoyed by this.

"What do you think of yourself? Jackass! The cameras have not been operational for the last two months, so I choose this venue. If you are a smartass. Don't be one to me."

"Sorry, sir, but it is my responsibility to keep my group safe. I couldn't take the risk of getting noticed by the bots."

There was no conversation on either side for a moment as I stopped the car at the parking exit. I could see the same group of teenage doctors coming out of the building without their stethoscopes. I reversed the car and parked it in the slot. I loaded the gun and pressed it against Hafiz's waist. "You do anything I don't like; I vaporise you. Got it."
