Salma's brows drew together when she woke up and found the driver's seat empty. She turned around to check the back seats and became slightly alarmed when she found them vacant as well.
Where did he go to? It was already dark, and the number of vehicles driving past had reduced. How long did she sleep?
She stepped out of the car and looked around only to find him seated on the trunk with his back facing her.
"You are awake." Gideon's voice reached her ears before he turned his head to look at her. "You are right on time. I was about to come wake you up. It's past eight already. They should be out now."
Relief washed over Salma's entire being when she saw him and when she heard what he said. Her initial thought was that something had happened to him or he had strode off somewhere, leaving her alone. She wouldn't know what to do in such a situation.
