Karina was not prepared for the beauty her eyes beheld when they drove into the city. Her subconscious already painted a picture of a city where wolves move freely around. Even though she didn't picture the streets being filled with wolves, she at least expected to find one or two.
But she saw none. It was like any human city, beautiful, well maintained, and not one wolf walking around or standing anywhere on the street.
The palace, however, was a different ball game altogether. Karina's jaw dropped when they approached the building. If she thought Veron's mansion was big, then what she was looking at would swallow fifteen of that mansion and still have space for more. The structure was huge and extremely pleasing to the eyes.
Decorated in white and gold, with a professional touch of red in some places and blue in others, the unbelievably large structure stood magnificently on the top of a small hill.
