"You really plan to go with them?" Veron questioned, giving Karina an unbelieving look.
He had asked what she would do if he had not shown up at that time, and her response was that she would quietly and willingly go with them.
"They would kill everyone if I didn't. I can't fight them, so it will still end up with them taking me away after killing everyone." Karina gave her reasons for her decision.
Veron let out a sigh. If Varesh wants her unharmed, it could only mean he knows what she was and knows she can be an asset to him if he succeeds in getting her on his side.
And getting her on his side was something Veron was sure Varesh would achieve if that was his intention.
"Varesh is not someone to believe, Arin. He is very cunning and..." He sighed again, deciding to let it go and just be grateful he got there on time.
