"What's going on?" Skye questioned, directing his gaze at Zara.
"Nothing. Why are you asking me that?" Zara eyed him.
"Nothing? You called me twice to know when we were coming back and you say nothing is wrong."
"That's because I just wanted to know. There's no need to think too much about it." Zara dismissed his queries as unnecessary.
Skye narrowed his eyes at her, then moved them to his mother, who decided not to interfere in their discussion.
He was just about to say something when one of the phones in his hand began to vibrate.
His brows pulled together and one side of his lips twitched when he saw who the caller was. His gaze moved to the stairs for a second before he looked back at the phone.
"What's wrong?" Zara asked, catching his expression and eye movement.
"Jadon's calling," Skye answered, and began to move toward the stairs.
