Then, they started smearing basilisks blood on statues.

Firuza" WHAT?! Really!" She asked surprised.
Usman " Yes. Let's go in the town."
We paid 12 sp and entered the town.
Usman" Where is reagent's office?" I asked a guard.
Southern guard" After reaching the central canal, go to east. There's a house near guard office."

We went in. Even though, town was attacked. It was still lively with all the open agriculture shops and stalls.

During our walk, some southern were looking strangely at Firuza. Some elves were looking curiously at growlithe. Some kids were even waving at him. Soon, we reached the guard office. I went to the reagent's office door and knocked.

A female voice was heard. We went in and came face to face an Elven woman.

She was a slim elf with long hair in a ponytail with glasses. She was writing something. She put down her feather pen.

Usman " I am, Usman, a mercenary. Baron Von has sent me." I said showing my documents and his letter with seal.
She took them and had a look at them.
Padma ' So, he sent a level 6 here. WAIT?!'
She looked at us and said.
Padma " Pardon me, are you the one who helped with the earlier situation?"
Usman" Yes."
Then, she looked at Firuza and growlithe. Firuza came forward and handed her papers.
Firuza " I am, Firuza Fironova. The Viscountess of Northern Council."
Padma" WHAT?!"
Firuza" As a druid, I am here for the duties my class demands."
Her charm shone up and Padma's eyes widened.

Usman" Can you help us with introduction to a good tavern?"
Padma" Yes, I can."
She wrote a letter and gave me.
Padma" In north west, go to Southern Springs ♨️. It is our best."

We paid for visa and we went out. We went back to the canal. There, we walked through the north west route. After some time, we came across our destination. It was a wooden three storeys building. There was a staircase leading to the door. I moved forward and opened the door. With my entrance, all the attention was gathered at me.
It was obviously due to my clothes, Firuza and Growlithe. We went to an empty table on the south east side of the bar. As we sat down, a southern waitress in a short maid outfit arrived.
Waitress " Hey there~ You are quite a party. It's not that easy to gather everyone attention."
Firuza was nervously looking around and Growlithe was alert. I looked at her and said.
Usman " Nah. We are just average southern mercenaries."
Waitress" Really? Then, how come you beat those werewolves so easily? Plus, not all southern mercenaries have a northern woman and a strange beast like this ~" She said walking around me.
I checked the map.
Usman ' A SPY!'
Luminous ' Probably, one set either by Viscountess or the reagent.'
Usman ' I see.'
Usman " What I did was a normal thing for a southern. As for my party, that none of your business." I said.
Waitress" Took baad~ Soooo~ what are your orders?"

As she left.

After 15 minutes, she came with our orders. After our dinner, we went to the bar. A southern man was there.
Bar owner" So, you want to stay or just came for dinner."
Usman" How much for a person for a week with meal?"

I and Firuza paid our stay. We took our keys and went into our rooms. I set up the alarm stored my armour. I layed on the bed. Growlithe climbed up and layed near me. I rubbed his back for a while.
Usman " Well, friend. Let's sleep for today and see what tomorrow holds for us."
After that I slept.

She was none other than, Viscountess Ubae Fae. Padma was standing before her. Waitress was standing with her. The letter of Baron Von was present on the table.
It's seal was removed. Main letter was out of the envelope which was in her right hand.
Fae" I did not know that he has such people."
Padma" He must have started his training in his childhood."
Waitress" Maybe that's why, he was more confident then that Viscountess of Northern Council."
Fae" Both of you are wrong."
Padma" Huh?"
Two looked at her.
Fae" According to this letter, the boy was a cr 1 a month ago."
Padma/Waitress" Impossible!"
Fae" I know but according to Von, he level up fighting against a form of alliance in the north." She said putting the paper on the table.

I woke up and saw Growlithe walking around in the room. I equipped my armour and undo the alarm. I conjured a water bucket and washed my face, hands and brushed my teeth. Growlithe also washed himself. Later, he used heat to evaporate water. Then, we came out of our room. I went to Firuza's room and knocked the door.
Usman " It's me. Come. We are going for breakfast."
Firuza" Coming!"
Her voice came. After few minutes, she came out. Then, we moved to the dining area. We sat in an empty table in north side. After few minutes, earlier waitress came with our breakfast.
Waitress " There you good~"
Usman ' Looks like bread and milk is the common type of breakfast.'
After our breakfast, we decided to explore the town. We went to the west side. This place was filled with some rich people houses and merchant shops. In the east, there were houses belonging to guards and weapons shops. The southern side belonged to the poor and wretched people.
Firuza " This seems like a prosperous place."
Then, we went back to the tavern. We went to our respective rooms.

We went down again and were sitting at a table.

We went out and moved to the western side. Three owlbears were causing havoc around.
Firuza " We have to stop them otherwise we won't be able to get the culprit in time!"
Usman" Already on IT!"
I shot them with arrows to gather their attention.
Usman " Get ready!" I said taking out the swords.
I moved forward with my swords changing. I slashed him near it's heart but it had a fatty resistance.
O.B." Hooo!"
He turned towards me with his opened beak and pounced on me. I jumped on the right wall and dodged the slash. Then, I jumped down and slashed his neck.

As Usman turned into a blur. Two Owlbears came towards us. One of those, pounced on us. But was blasted away by Growlithe's fire breath.
Firuza " Fire sphere!"
As my chant completed, I trapped the other one in a flaming sphere. I started to concentrate on it and Growlithe impacted the other one. Who stopped moving after falling down. Then, he came to me.
Firuza " Growlithe! Finish IT!"
Growlithe " Woof!"
He shot his breath in the sphere and owlbear was burnt to death. Then, we moved to Usman.

Normal P.O.V.
After defeating the Owlbears, we moved forward. Two Owlbears were stopping the guards from getting inside the mansion.
Firuza " Is it me or they are guarding the place?"
Usman" They are! I am going inside! Can you conjure two spheres?"
Firuza"..I can't.."
She shook her head.
Usman " Alright. You trap one and Growlithe you help the guards with other."
I blitz past them by jumping on side wall, then, I jumped up. Through this, I moved forward above them. I landed in the lawn and blitz inside the mansion. Moving in, I moved towards the second floor. According to the map, a bug near chief was attacking her. As I got in, I saw her. Her right arm was bleeding from a cut. She had some bruises too.
B.B.C. looked behind.
B.B.C." Huh?!"
I shot three arrows, one of which hit his hand, making him drop his sword. Second and third, hit his legs. He fell on his back on the floor.

Usman ' HUH?!!'
Luminous ' Sometimes, you don't need to kill everyone. He is necessary for the information about alliance.'

I started chanting and Growlithe shot his breath on the left one.
O.B." HOO!!"
Growlithe " ARGHH!!"
I conjured up a flame sphere trapped the right one.
Firuza " Attack them!"
Realising our help, guards started attacking them. After few minutes, they fell.
Guards" Let's move in!"
As guards left, we followed them. We reached the room where Usman and Viscountess were after some time. A bug bear was on the ground. He had arrows in his legs and left hand. Viscountess was injured and bleeding.
Guards " My Lady!"
Some guards went to help her. Few went towards the bug bear.
Guard" You DARE LAY YOUR HAND ON HER LADY!"
He was about to stab him.
Fae" ...No... take him... to the dungeon...wring him out of....any information about the alliance...."
Guards" As you order, My Lady!"
They took him away. Usman came to us.
Usman " Let's go to tavern. I am hungry."
Groowl!
A sound came from our bellies. My face turned red from embarrassment. I nodded. Then, we went out to the tavern.
