With his final duel coming to an end, the night and tournament ended with it. With no choice, Chancellor Sheppard had to agree and give him his reward in the end. Which sent his DP from 10,911,250,000 all the way to 55,181,250,000.
5.5 billion basically.
Yeah, he became a billionaire because of four duels. That was going to be one hell of a story to tell his grandkids. "I went to school, and milked the entire place." Yeah, that was going to be one hell of a story. In the end, Alistair didn't pass out, but he did need Zane to carry him to his room since his legs were wobbly. Though that did give some... special girls some more ideas on what to write.
And unfortunately, maybe even draw.
He couldn't care though. He was rich now.
- (At night.)
"Hahahaha, I have finally arrived!" At the outskirts of the island, covered by the night's veil, an ominous voice cackled. But it was... weird. Like the sound of a character in a game that had bad sounding. "Just three more. Now, as long as I take the souls of the three that were foolish enough to summon me, and even more foolish enough to agree to my deal, I will be free! Mwahahaha!"
- (Morning)
"Graar! Graaar!" While enjoying his beauty sleep, Alistair heard the calling of his Rogue Ka, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon. Groaning, Alistair tried wave off the mini version of the giant dragon :"Stop it, V, lemme sleep..." And he went right back into snoring.
"Grr!" The dragon growled, before stubbornly trying again. In the end, the noiret could only wake up with a groan. He didn't sit up though. Who the hell sits up right after waking up? Not him. Naked beside his comfortable shorts, laying down on his side, halfway on his stomach, with half of his face planted on his pillow and his blanket trapped between his legs, the ideal sleeping posture, he glared at one of his Kas with his one open eye :"Ah, nadi? (Turkish: What?) Chto ty khochesh'? (Russian: What do you want?)" Mind so out of place he spoke both of his mother languages.
"Graar! Grar grar!" The always grumpy, cat-like dragon roared. Annoyed that it took so long to wake up its master. "Hmgh?" Alistair groaned, mind starting to function as he sat up :"Wait, wait, what? Who arrived?"
"It's as Venom says, master. Last night, we sensed the presence of a new duel spirit on the island." Mirrorjade also came out, also in his miniature version, along with Serpent Night Dragon, who didn't need to bother with changing his size since he wasn't that huge :"And I know it's a newcomer, because I've never sensed this evil presence here before."
"Hold on, hold on." He rubbed his eyes, kick-starting his brain as he fully woke up :"There's a new duel spirit on the island, and it's powerful enough for you guys to sense it?" The two calm dragons nodded. Serpent continued :"That's right. And it's no ordinary duel spirit either.
Although it's true that it's powerful, it still wouldn't be enough for us to sense it. The reason why we felt its presence was because of the amount of evil energy that it carried. And once we went to check it out, we saw that the duel spirit had that kind of evil energy. Jinzo."
Alistair :"Jinzo?! He's here?"
Serpent :"That's right. Just as you had said so."
Alistair :"Hmm, but this is a lot sooner than I expected."
Venom :"Grar." He said disdainfully.
Mirrorjade :"Venom's right, why would that be a bad thing? Although Jinzo might be powerful in this era, he's no match for any of us. Even Linkuriboh can deal with him thanks to his effect. In fact, this is even better for us."
Serpent :"They're correct. Since Jinzo has come so soon, we can just kill and absorb his energy now instead of waiting weeks or months."
Alistair :"The problem IS that he came so soon. Although it's true that I can absorb more spirit energy now thanks to how many duel spirits I've bonded with, Jinzo is still a Lv 6 monster with a powerful effect. While the level of duel spirits I can bond with is Lv 4. That's still too much for me."
Mirrorjade/Serpent/Venom :"Hmm.../Grr..."
"That's not necessarily the truth." A beautiful voice interrupted, and the tall bombshell known as Silent Magician appeared. "What do you mean?" Alistair asked curiously.
"Although it's still possible, it will be very hard and painful. Knowing that, do you still want to take advantage of this chance?" She asked calmly, waiting for an answer. Alistair was silent, judging by Silent Magician's words, this was a serious matter.
He could understand, this wasn't just a matter of physical pain after all. Bonding with duel spirits was beyond just the physical realm, it was about his very soul. He could still remember the discomfort his soul went through the first time he bonded with strong duel spirits.
After all, his soul wasn't used to foreign sensations. He was physically used to pain, but spiritually? If she went out of her way to warn him, knowing how resilient and stubborn he is, he knew it was going to be very painful.
'But so what?' He grew serious. Getting up, he stood in front of the woman who was as tall as him, or maybe even taller :"The pain that I will go through by myself will make it so me and my loved ones won't go through an even harsher pain in the future.
If it means that I can grow powerful enough to never be hurt again, so that nobody can pose a danger to me, my goals, my possessions and my loved ones, I will go through with it. You already know that I have a goal, and I'll grit my teeth, endure and get rid of just about anything if it means I can be even a single step closer to that goal. So, does that answer your question?"
Silent Magician just stared at him. Looking into his unwavering crimson orbs, filled with determination, she couldn't help but smirk :"Yes. Yes, it does." Before she quirked an amused brow :"So are we included in the list of your loved ones as well?"
"Hmph, do you even need to ask?" He smirked, pulling her by her waist and pressing his chest against her giant breasts :"There's nobody more dear to me than you and all the other cards and duel spirits."
"I see." She smiled. Behind him, Mirrorjade, Serpent and every other duel spirit in his decks smiled as well. Venom snorted though, giving a "was that even needed to be clarified?" eye roll. Letting go of Silent Magician, Alistair took a hold of his clothes :"Then let's go ghost hunting."
-
In the giant forest that covered most of the island, Jinzo, invisible to the naked eye, traveled around. 'Unfortunately, I can't just take those brats. I need a power source to maintain my current state first until the time is right. And then, I will strike.'
"Hahahaha, Hahahaha!" He laughed aloud, but a voice interrupted him :"What's so funny?" Shocked, he turned to the voice to see a young man in a fancy suit. Wearing black silk pants, with a button up shirt tucked in and a button open from the top, revealing his beautiful belt and sexy cleavage, while wearing a black coat. The golden dragon necklace around his neck and his earrings fit well with his black suit.
"You... you're no ordinary human." Jinzo frowned, sensing the subtle but powerful spirit energy around the teenager. Alistair smirked, taking off his coat and rolling up his sleeves :"What gave that away? The killer looks, or the duel spirits that are about to kill you?"
"Wha-" Jinzo grew confused, but grew six feet off the ground instead when Venom's tail struck his chest, shooting him away. "GUH!" Hitting a tree, he groaned loudly. "W-what-" He tried to get up, but a foot meeting his covered face shut him up by shooting him away again, causing the tree behind him to shatter as his back crashed into it.
Obviously, Alistair wouldn't be able to physically touch duel spirits. But by covering himself, or just a single part of his body with spirit energy, a method taught by Silent Magician, he was able to kick the asses of duel spirits too. The asses of humans weren't enough after all.
"Y-you...! You bastard!" Jinzo roared, trying to attack Alistair. But two swords stabbing into his arms, the swords of Black Luster Soldier and Swordsoul Sinister Sovereign - Qixing Longyuan, and stabbing them into the ground, stopped him in his tracks. Even the shouts of agony were restrained by the tail of Starving Venom Fusion Dragon wrapping around his neck.
With his choked groans and breaths, along with Venom's growls, filling the air, Alistair stepped towards him. His coat hanging behind him by his finger on his shoulder. He walked nonchalantly, sure of his safety thanks to his loyal and protective duel spirits.
He stood on Jinzo's chest, making the evil duel spirit groan at the weight :"You... just what the hell are you...? How could a mere human have so many duel spirits of such power be his minions...?" The noiret smirked :"They're my minions because we're going to steal the world, and every dimension in it!
Forget about it being the crime of the century, it's going to be the crime of the millennia! As for me? I'm the Humbler. Nice to meet you. I apologize for the short meet and greet, but you're far too insignificant for me to treat you like an actual villain. Rest in piss, bitch."
Pointing his hand at him, a sinister sphere of energy began to form in his hand. Sensing the danger, Jinzo struggled desperately to free himself, but to no avail :"No! No, no! NoooOOOO...!" As the sphere of energy was shot at his head like a laser, his screams echoed around the forest before it once again grew quiet.
His lifeless body laid on the ground, moments before his body began to disintegrate into ominous dark energy. But before it could spread and disappear, Silent Magician appeared, trapping the dark energy in a ball of energy of her own.
"Alright, are you ready?" Not wasting time, Silent Magician turned serious. Alistair nodded, taking a deep breath. Storing his coat in his storage, he nodded at the white haired beauty :"I'm ready, let's start."
Silent Magician :"Good. Before we start, I have already casted a spell that silences all sounds in this place, so don't hold back if it's too painful."
Alistair, smirking :"You should already know that I've never been one to scream."
Silent Magician, glaring :"This is serious. The pain you'll experience will be worse than what you have ever experienced. This isn't how you've normally done it until now. Till now, all the duel spirits could control the intensity of the bonding and could calm themselves.
But the spirit energy of Jinzo is violent and evil, and I can only control the output of the rate you absorb it, not how violent it is. This isn't going to be simply absorbing this spirit energy, it will be like forcibly fitting an amount of spirit energy that is simply greater than your soul, the container.
Stay careful and stay focused, and no matter what, stay awake. If you lose consciousness in the middle, all of it will be extremely dangerous and for nothing. Do you understand?"
Alistair, nodding :"Alright, understood. So how are we going to do this?"
Silent Magician :"By letting you absorb it in three ways simultaneously. This spirit energy is far too much and far too powerful to simply absorb it raw. You'll absorb half of it by yourself, while Serpent Night Dragon will absorb the other half and act like a conductor to transfer it to you as he will try to bond with you. That way, the rest of the spirit energy that he will automatically absorb himself will also be transferred to you."
Alistair :"Wait, what?! I'm going to bond with Serpent already?! But isn't that too much, to absorb the spirit energy of Jinzo and bond with Serpent Night Dragon, a Lv 7 monster, at the same time?"
Serpent Night Dragon :"Silent Magician, as happy as I am to be able to bond with my master so soon, I have to agree. The toll on his soul will be too much. He may die."
Silent Magician :"Believe me, this is the best method we can use without anything at hand. And don't worry, even if it fails, I assure you that I won't let anything happen to you. Do you trust me?"
He was silent. This was seriously serious, and he could see the risks himself. But after moments of contemplating, he finally groaned :"Oh, fuck it. It will either work out or not, and I'm not wasting this god given chance! Let's start already then!"
With a serious face, but a small smile on her sexy lips, Silent Magician nodded :"Good, then we'll pray for your success."
