"Lyca, are you having a fever?" Isabel asked, her voice sounding concerned yet sleepy at the same time.
Her voice sounded a little distant to Lyca. She wanted to reply that she was fine but she found that she couldn't even speak any longer and gradually, her eyes rolled and she blanked out.
Isabel immediately panicked, shaking her by the shoulder to wake her up. "Lyca... Lyca, wake up."
Lyca didn't even stare. Isabel quickly reached out to tap Jeida who was asleep on the other side.
"Jeida," she called out. "Wake up. Lyca fainted."
It took Jeida a whole three minutes to recover her senses after being woken up abruptly and during this time, Isabel had rushed out and returned with a large bowl of water.
"What do we do?" She called out frantically looking at her friend who had also realized what was going on.
"Try to wake her up," Jeida advised. "I'll get the Master."
Soon, Jeida returned with Mary right on her heels.
When Mary saw the unconscious Lyca lying on the bed unmoving, she quickly squatted beside her.
"Did you pour water on her?" She asked Isabel who was still holding the bowl of water.
"No, master."
" Good." Mary quickly rolled up Lyca's sleeves. She pressed a finger to Lyca's elbow joint and applied pressure on it. Lyca still didn't stir.
Mary leaned in, her white robe sweeping the floor as she did so. She placed her ear near Lyca's nose for some time before sighing in relief.
"Thankfully, she's breathing." She muttered under her breath and the two girls who were behind her and watching eagerly could not hear her clearly.
Isabel asked, "What did you say, Master?"
Mary didn't reply. Instead, she stuck her mouth in Lyca's ears and blew heavily into them.
Then, she continued to apply pressure on all of her joints, interchanging between that and blowing her ear from time to time. Finally, Lyca stirred awake.
She blinked, her white eyes slowly peeking out from her long eyelashes. She was awake but she still seemed delirious.
Mary turned to the other girls. "Wipe her body with clean water. She is still burning up"
"Yes, master."
Mary glanced at Lyca who was still drowsy before getting up and walking out of their room. Isabel then grabbed a small cloth in the room and began to wipe Lyca's body.
The two girls took turns taking care of her for the night.

Lyca finally won't up, still feeling very lightheaded. She slowly sat up, feeling the side of her head pounding and thumping from time to time. She still felt dizzy.
She couldn't tell how long she had slept but she knew from the numerous voices and footsteps passing by the door from time to time, that it was morning already.
"Isabel," Lyca called out. "Jeida, are you guys there?"
No one answered.
At first, Lyca thought they were there and simply didn't reply to her. She wouldn't be surprised if they did so.
Who wouldn't get tired of taking care of someone like her? They wouldn't be the first to despise her.
But, the thought was soon flushed down the drain the moment the door opened and the two girls entered, chattering loudly.
They did not seem to notice her seated on the woven bed at first. But when they did, they gasped, "Lyca, you are awake?"
Lyca nodded, turning her head toward where she could tell their voices were coming from.
She soon heard Jeida's voice even nearer as though they were not seated around her.
"Isabel, inform the Master that she is awake."
"But the masters are in a closed-door meeting with the Hall Master. Will it not seem rude to interrupt them?" Isabel asked, on her way to the door.
"I think they will be more delighted to hear that she is awake. I heard that the Hall Master is worried too." replied.
"Okay, I'll be right back."
After Isabel left to get Mary, Jeida still wiped Lyca's forehead once more even though the young woman was embarrassed and tried to evade her gestures. And all of a sudden he turned around and he saw nervous and she sc
Lyca wouldn't stop smiling as Jeida chatted non-stop beside her ears. She could not tell if she was discreetly sneering over her head, but her voice gave Lyca a certain calmness.
She wasn't overly excited yet she also seemed concerned. Lyca wouldn't stop smiling as they chatted. It had been a long time since she last got such treatment from people
It was very unfamiliar to her.
The door soon opened and Mary entered first. She was wearing a dark blue garment that reached her ankles, unlike the overflowing white garments she usually wore.
She strode into the room and stood some fair distance away from Lyca. Her expression was calm and stoic as usual and it was as though, she wasn't the one who panicked the other day Lyca fainted.
"How do you feel?" She asked.
Lyca's blank eyes scanned the room following the voice sharply before stopping at the corner where Mary was standing exactly.
"I feel better. Thank you, Master."
Mary didn't hesitate to speak. "I can tell. Now that you are better, you need to resume the things you missed."
" You missed quite a lot of lectures. Your friends will tell you about them in detail." She said. "Just know that our Divination Hall is not just for show. We work hard here and if you want to survive, you have to work for it. Do you hear me?"
"Yes, Master Heitor."
"Good."
Without another word, Mary turned and left the room, leaving Lyca thinking about a lot of things. But, they all revolved around her fear of being a burden to the rest due to her disability.
