Evelyn raised her head and looked at the beautiful girl standing in front of her.
The girl smiled at her politely. Evelyn nodded her head though quite hesitantly.
After seeing Laurel, she didn't have any good thoughts about noble ladies. She felt as if all of them will only look down on her because of her past.
However, the girl in front of her smiled widely on seeing Evelyn's nod and stepped closer to her. Evelyn could feel the sincerity in her smile...something that stopped her from saying no.
She saw that the girl even signed a servant to come closer and then she picked a pastry from the plate he had in his hands.
As Evelyn watched her eat the pastry eagerly, she couldn't help but feel amused.
The girl noticed her gaze and stopped eating suddenly. She smiled but a little awkwardly this time and said
"Heheh…Forgive me Your Highness for being so rude. I was feeling hungry so…"
"It's alright."
Evelyn said softly.
