A huge dark shadow that covered the sun swept toward Thaddeus in the blink of an eye.
The force from the sword was so oppressive that the ground had already caved in by a hundred meters before it had even landed.

Due to the horrendous sword intent locking him, he could neither move nor dodge. Thus, he was forced into taking the attack head-on. He summoned a radiant barrier of holy light around him, forming an impenetrable shield to the best of his abilities.

The shield couldn't even withstand for a fraction of a second before it collapsed, cutting Thaddeus into pieces.
Flesh and blood splattered everywhere as not a single section of his body was recognizable. The scepter showed signs of cracking and soon disintegrated.
Not only that but due to the shockwaves spreading from the sword and the connection with Thaddeus's scepter getting broken, the barrier surrounding the arena burst into smithereens.
