As Zephirah drew nearer, Alicia's heart skipped a beat because of her presence. Alicia was staring into the woman's piercing, perceptive eyes as if she were looking for something hidden. The silent inspection reminded Alicia of the overwhelming reality she faced in the lady's presence, and she felt an unseen weight fall from her shoulders.
"We forgot to introduce ourselves, didn't we?" Alicia was utterly taken off guard by Zephirah's open-ended query, which caused her brows to wrinkle in disbelief.
Delbert was equally bashed by her initiation but stepped forward, "Allow me to introduce-" but Zephirah snapped her tongue in annoyance. Delbert appeared contrite as a result of her quick, accusatory glance in his direction. His attitude was one of mute regret.
