Chereads / Greatest Footballer's System / Chapter 24 - Preparations.

Chapter 24 - Preparations.

Everyone on the team were giving their all for the team. Even Ray the Playboy was not slacking off. A week had already passed since the day the coach had announced the date for their first Friendly match.

Although it was called a friendly match, it was only designed to intimidate your opponent before the tournament even began. The tournament, was to be held during the summer, by then the school's session would have come to an end, allowing the participants to indulge themselves in the game without worrying too much about their studies.

The team could be seen training like beasts every single day. They had only a week left before they were to face the Giants.

The odds in Stardust Fc Defeating The Giants was really high. The Giants were ranked 7th in the Astro Capital's Local football club ranking, while Stardust FC were struggling to hold on to their 10th place. Although the different between 7th and 10th would not seem like much, Just consider that there were up 42 clubs in Astro Capital, you could tell, everyone could tell that the coming match was not going to be easy.

The qualifiers had already ended. The fact that Stardust FC were even going to participate in the coming tournament was because they were still in the top 10 in the FC ranking.

Every other clubs, except for the top ten had to participate in the qualifiers. Therefore, Stardust team were not able to know what exactly to expects from these Giants. This being the more reason to not falter, and to take this match seriously.

Slowly, the day that the whole of stardust City and Giant forts were expecting was drawing near. These two mega cities could be said to be at logger heads right now, who would want to make a friend out of a competitor?

With barely 3 days to go. Sparks could almost be seen in the hair. It was not only the Boys that were preparing, even the cheerleading girls were hyper active lately. The Mood was setting gradually. Although, the school had not come to a close, the match would be played on Saturday at stardust High school's field.

Even Ella and Angel were trying to motivate John in their own unique way, with Angel directly expressing her doubt, causing John to work twice as hard. Unfortunately, for John he had not realized that he was being played by his own mother and sister.

He. wouldn't be the slightest bit bothered by this though because it was only the results that mattered the most, to him.

Coach Ben had not given them directions or tactics to follow yet, it wasn't that he didn't Know his job, but rather he wanted to see how the team would perform without any guidance.

John had even managed to raise some of his stats by one point, all those weight lifting and sprinting weren't for nought.

With these stats, John felt that he was ready for tomorrow's challenge, he was ready to face whatever challenge tomorrow shall bring his way. While thinking, John managed to find hi.self in school.
