Griffin and Isabella went back into a tent that was smaller than before. Inside was Edison with various items on the table. There were swords, small stones of various colors, and a large map.
"What is all this?" Griffin asked.
"Weapons and equipment. We have to prepare it if we want to go to the enemy base. Nobody knows what will happen there." Edison answered while tidying up his things.
"Take this." Edison gave him a short sword that was barely half a meter in length, and a black pouch containing several beautifully colored magic stones.
Griffin whispered to Isabella. "But I don't know how to use this."
"The orange one will explode if thrown, the green one will heal some of your wounds if swallowed, and the blue one will store mana, if you swallow it, you can get a small amount of mana in an emergency." Isabella explained briefly.
Griffin nodded. The explanation just now is quite easy to understand.
"We are going to infiltrate through the southern region of Boaren, there are lots of trees and few guards, so it will be easier to enter through there. But we have to make a little detour to enter it."
Edison pointed to a point on the map.
"Wait, how do we know where Raymond is being held?" Griffin asked.
"There is only one place capable of holding a wizard as strong as Raymond in Boaren, that place is called 'Sinner Cave'."
"What is that place?"
Isabella instead explained.
"The area in Boaren that is the most dense with magic. I don't know exactly what it's like, but what we heard was that it was a very large place that was heavily guarded by many people so it was difficult to enter."
"Then how do we enter it?"
"With my skill, 'Spirit Mode'. We can become invisible and untouchable for a while when I activate this skill."
"Wow, that's great." Griffin said. No wonder Edison chose to follow the infiltration, because the skills he has are very suitable for things like this.
"Not as great as you might think. My mana drains really fast when using this skill, so we have to move fast too. But most importantly, we don't know where Raymond was caught. The entrance to the 'Sinner Cave' is indeed in the middle of the Boaren area, but the inside is much wider than we can imagine. We don't have clear information about the area, so we have to be very careful when searching the area."
Edison pointed to the center of the map. The dot reads 'Sinner Cave', indicating that it is the door to enter it.
"Any question?" Edison asked to be sure.
No one answer.
"Good, then let's go now."
Edison immediately packed all the things and prepared to walk out.
"What? Now? Didn't you say two hours again just now?" Griffin was surprised to hear that.
"Yeah, that's what I just said. But we're still leaving now."
Edison replied without looking back, he was in a hurry to get out so they could leave immediately.
"Uncle, why did you suddenly change plans? Did something happen?" Isabella asked because she saw Edison's strange movements. Because as far as she knew, Edison wasn't someone who would suddenly change plans for no apparent reason.
Edison paused and took a deep breath. "Just now, we received a report that one of the mages who was previously Cody's subordinate, ran into the forest. It's possible that our plan has been leaked. So we have to move quickly before they tighten security."
Isabella squeezed her hand tightly, showing how angry she was at Cody's behavior.
The three of them walked into the dark interior of the forest. If it weren't for the moonlight, they wouldn't be able to see anything. Griffin just followed the two of them from behind because he didn't know which way to go.
"Where are we going?" Griffin asked.
"Looking for transportation that will take us to Boaren." Edison answered while looking ahead.
"Hah?"
Griffin thought that they would be riding in something like a car or motorbike, but this place shouldn't have such a vehicle? And again the sound will definitely be very loud and impossible to use in the middle of the forest like this.
Griffin imagined all sorts of things, until he saw what kind of transportation Edison was talking about.
[Night Owl – Level 8]
There was an owl waiting for them. The size is very large, just over 3 meters high. Although its size is not comparable to a ferocious hound, it still makes the Griffin unaccustomed to seeing an animal of this size. Moreover, the owl's enormous eyes stared directly at them, giving anyone the chills.
Edison climbed on top of the owl, followed by Isabella. They sat on it as if they were used to it.
"Hey, hurry up."
Isabella called out when she saw Griffin still standing down there.
Griffin gulped and then boarded the night owl. He held onto the owl's gray feathers until it was nearly plucked out.
"We're leaving now."
The Night Owl spread its wings. In one fell swoop, the three of them were carried high into the sky.
Griffins watched in awe as they flew through the air. He could see the scene below clearly. Looks like riding this monster isn't bad either. The flapping of its wings was also very light and made almost no sound, so they could only hear the sound of the wind passing by.
"Wait a minute, if a bird of this size flew over the Boaren wouldn't it attract attention?"
Isabella answered the question. "Not really, there are a lot of big birds flying around here, so the presence of the night owl won't be too much of a concern."
A few minutes later, Griffin could see a well-lit place. There were several bonfires down there, so they could see the light and smoke rising high above.
"Is that Boaren?"
"Yes"
Griffin saw that there were quite a few people down there though it wasn't clear. There are also many monsters chained and in iron bars. And although few, some are about the size of a ferocious hound.
"There are so many monsters there."
"Looks like they are already preparing to attack again." Edison directed the night owl to fly further down.
"We have to move quickly."
As time went on, they flew further down, to the center of Boaren, which is the entrance to the sinner cave.
"Wait, if we go straight down there won't it be discovered?" Griffin warned because they were so close to the ground.
"Relax, we're safe while you're in my skill area."
"Spirit Mode"
A second later, they all became transparent. They could still see each other, but the people down there couldn't see them.
"See that magic circle? It is the entrance to the sinner cave which is underground. We'll jump in there when I give the signal."
Edison pointed at a red magic circle down there. The size is quite large and is located in a large courtyard that is not overgrown by trees. There were also several magicians standing guard outside the magic circle area with swords in their hands.
"Jump?!" Griffin almost screamed at that.
"Yeah, we have to jump together so you don't get out of the spirit mode area. On the count of three. 1..."
Griffin panicked instantly. "They're really going to jump?" Griffin thought they were crazy, or maybe Edison was joking.
"2"
"Okay, they're not kidding."
"3"
They jumped together from the night owl. Because Edison jumped, the night owl became visible again and immediately flew away. Meanwhile, Griffin, Isabella, and Edison immediately entered the large magic circle.
