Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 – Ferocious Hound

"What kind of creature is that?"

Griffin couldn't say anything else when he saw such a terrifying monster.

The biggest black haired dog he had ever seen. Its long fangs dripped with stinky saliva.

The ferocious hound stood from afar and glared at the two of them. Its gaze showed that it really wanted to eat them right now.

"RUN!" Isabella screamed as she ran away.

Griffin followed her without being prompted twice. His feet stepped as fast as he could through the uneven ground and the trees that blocked him.

The ferocious hounds who saw them running immediately chased after them. It ran and crashed into the surrounding trees, but didn't hurt it body in the slightest.

"Very fast!"

Griffin looked back. The monster started to get closer to them. In this state, they can be overtaken in an instant.

"Get in here!" Isabella called Griffin from inside a cave. A very small cave, but at least a human could enter.

Griffin immediately headed towards the girl. At the same time, the dog behind him drew closer. Only a few meters from behind.

As the Griffin got so close to the cave, the ferocious hound opened its jaws, trying to bite the prey in front of it.

In the second the creature's teeth almost reached Griffin, the man jumped as hard as he could so that his body went smoothly into the cave.

BRAK

The ferocious hound crashed into the cave very hard. Its head was plunged into a cave that was so small, but it couldn't reach the inside because of its large and tall body. Then it put its hand in, but still couldn't reach the two humans inside.

While Isabella and Griffin sat at the very back of the cave. Their distance from the ferocious hound's range is only 2 or 3 meters.

Unexpectedly, although the mouth of the cave is small, the inside is quite long and wide.

"Thank you." Griffin spoke while trying to catch his own breath.

He had been running for hours on end. But now running for just a few minutes made his heart almost jump out.

Without replying to Griffin's thanks, Isabella went straight to the point.

"So you're not from this world?"

"Exactly what world do you mean?" Griffin asked along.

"This world, the world of magic. Judging by your clothes and no weapons you carry, are you from the human world?"

Griffin looked at the clothes Isabella was wearing. It was not the kind of clothes that normal people would wear.

She was wearing a white dress with gold trim that was very beautiful. But her dress extends down and fits her body to make her look so graceful. And it seems that this woman has no trouble moving around in such clothes.

In fact, the dress is equipped with various items such as a sword scabbard, and some small gems that are not known for what.

"You didn't answer, so I assume it's a 'yes' answer." Isabella immediately came to a conclusion when she saw the silent Griffin.

"What exactly is this place?"

"As you can see, the world of magic. A place for wizards and monsters who were overwhelmed by mana to become so powerful. One example is the monsters out there."

Isabella used her sword to point out there.

The ferocious hound was no longer trying to break in. But they could see it pacing back and forth out there. Waiting for its prey to come out on its own.

"Why did I fall into this place?" Griffn asked again.

"I don't know, I don't know either."

Isabella's answer left Griffin speechless for a moment.

"Then, what world is this really?"

Isabella leaned her body against the cave wall before answering Griffin's question.

"Have you seen your status screen?"

"Status screen?"

"Blue screen with white writing. It usually shows your name, level, and status condition." Isabella explained.

Griffin remembered the strange screens that had appeared in front of him earlier. That should be what Isabella said.

"What screen is that?"

"The screen that shows your approximate strength. Summon your status screen, and we'll see how strong you are."

"The method?"

"Call it a 'status screen' in your mind."

Griffin tried to match Isabella's words. And just as she said, the screen just now actually appeared in front of him.

-

"You also see the weapons or skills you have by calling the 'weapon list' and 'skill list'."

Once again, Griffin followed Isabella's words.

Griffin looked at all of his statuses carefully.

"What is your level and status?"

Griffin looked at the status screen. Then he looked again at Isabella. He wasn't sure whether to say this to someone he had just met for the first time.

"You don't have to suspect me. If I had bad intentions, I could have let you be killed by the rabbits just now or eaten by the dogs out there."

Griffin was speechless. Because he really owed this woman his life.

"Here it doesn't show my level. As for my stats, Strength:12, Agility:10, Stamina:13, Vitality: 8, Magic:15."

Isabella's expression changed when she heard Griffin's words. Her cold face at first turned into a suspicious look, causing Griffin to be wary.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"What is your occupation in the human world?" Isabella answered Griffin's question with another question.

"Why do you want to know?"

"Just answer me."

Griffin was silent for a few seconds before answering.

"Before, I was a mafia." Griffin answered cautiously.

Isabella thought for a moment hearing that.

"No wonder your status is quite high."

"It means?"

"Usually the stats of a commoner are only 5 to 8. People of your high status are quite rare. And again, your level…"

Isabella fell silent again.

"What about my level?"

"How come your level isn't visible on the status screen? Even an ordinary human who is very weak can have level one."

Griffin looked at his status screen once again. But the level still doesn't show any numbers.

He tried to click on the word 'level' in front of him. Another, smaller screen appears.

[Level cannot be seen due to the effect of 'unknown skill']

"What's this?" Griffin muttered under his breath.

"What is it?" Isabella asked at Griffin's words.

Griffin looked at the 'skill list'.

He clicked on the unknown list in his passive list.

[Unable to see information on 'unknown skill']

Griffin looked on in surprise. He wondered whether this was natural or not.

He tried clicking the 'flame sword' skill.

[Flame Sword]

[One of the sword skills directly related to fire. Can create swords with fire elemental magic, or use fire elements to strengthen their swords. The greater the mana used, the stronger the effect of this skill.]

Very weird.

"Why is this skill information visible?" Griffin continued to think alone. Ignoring Isabella who was still looking at her suspiciously. Although he didn't plan to tell this. It seemed better if he didn't tell this girl too much about his condition.

"Can you explain what happened?" Isabella asked out of curiosity.

"I also do not know." Griffin spoke in confusion.

Isabella could only hold her suspicions in her mind.

"Very weird. There was a human from another world who entered the magic world, but his magic points had already reached 15. And now, the level didn't exist. Whether it's true or this guy is lying, he's definitely suspicious."

That's what she thought. Griffins are weird in every way. One more thing that bothered Isabella's mind, she felt a strange air when she was near Griffin. A hot and impure energy.

When Isabella was about to ask again, there was a sudden shaking in the cave they were in.

Boom boom boom

Something hit the top of the cave very hard.

"What happened?" Griffin asked as he felt this shaking.

Isabella realized what had happened.

"Damn! That monster is trying to tear down this cave!"

"What?! Then what now?!"

"We're out!"

"WHAT?!"

Griffin who heard it didn't know what to say. If they were in here, they would indeed be buried alive. But if they came out, they might become the monster's lunch.

But it seems they have no other choice.

Isabella ran out first, followed by Griffin from behind.

Just as they stepped out, the cave collapsed. The hard ground that formed the cave walls shattered, sending dust flying in all directions.

The wind carried the dust around, making their vision clear again.

On top of the cave ruin just now, the ferocious hound stared at them with fury. It seemed that it was too hungry to do something crazy like this.

Isabella raised her sword.

"Be prepared, this monster won't be as easy as it was when we fought the rabbits just now."

Griffin also raised his sword. He swallowed his own saliva looking at the monster in front of him.

A few minutes earlier he had just struggled with a level 3 little rabbit, now he had to face a terrifying level 12 creature like this.
