Jackson was startled at his father's words and stood. "Dad, we already talked about this."
"I know. I was just kidding."
"Really? Are you being honest with me right now? You won't bother Belle to marry me?"
"Why do you sound like you want me to bother her to marry you?" Jackson narrowed his gaze at his father and the older man knocked his son's forehead. "I said I wouldn't. Stop looking at me like I'm someone who doesn't keep his word."
"Fine. You said it." Jackson muttered and sat back on the couch. "By the way, this is my father."
"If you call my wife Mom, you should call me Dad. If not, call me Uncle Ian."
Belle smiled happily and bowed her head respectfully. "Nice to meet you, Uncle Ian. I am Belle and this is my brother, Neon."
"Hello, Uncle Ian," greeted Neon with a gentlemanly bow.
