Peng Liling couldn't help but smile, even though she tried to hold it back. It probably came off as a big, goofy grin. Her stomach was fluttering like it was doing a happy dance, but honestly, she didn't care. Her heart felt like it was going to burst with happiness and joy.
Smart plans, brilliant ideas, and most importantly, awesome execution—all of these things made her feel really satisfied.
She hurried along the path leading to her home, hardly noticing the dry leaves that had recently fallen and were scattered at her feet. As a gentle evening breeze caressed her face, she puckered her lips and began humming the opening melody of her favorite song, "Spring Song."
Soft pillow... warm blanket... relaxed body... sweet embrace of deep slumber.
She let out a hearty chuckle.
