Chapter 9 - Rumpey and The King

Rumpey went to see his king ahead of his old father who walks with the aid of a stick behind him, and then without waiting for his father's arrival, started a fight with the king. The king came out from one of his small inner rooms, and welcomed Rumpey. : ''Why are you here?'' He asked

My name! Rumpey replied.

Your name, what have I got to do with your name?

To correct my name! He responded boldly with a fierce look demanding an apology

''I was told, you also joined in nicknaming me Rudey. Tell me sir king, why does everyone think I am rude, when I am not? I am Rumpey!

the king flared up: ''You are stubborn and truly rude! Was that why you came to my town hall, this morning to disturb our peace? because of your stupid name!

Your father must have told you we are still counting the cost of your trouble, ranging from repairing the damaged bridge to placating the other youth, making them less angry, because of you.

Had I known you to be this recalcitrant son, you would have been killed.

Two bodyguards made swift forward gestures, diagonally crossing their spears to prevent Rumpey's advancement.

Rumpey spoke from his stand point, and said : I am sorry if I sound rude, but there are things I won't take in my life, especially in my name.

I am a true son of my father, and you could see I am back after the rumored terror saga brought by those community boys. I will fight and that's why I am here. Although I was told to apologize to you, but I have done nothing wrong my king. he said with a fierce look.

The king arose, advancing towards Rumpey, with the body guard's weapons in between them. Face to face, he says: You will be banished from this community if you start another war with any other community,

Not just you inclusive your father and fragile mother. If I were you I will try and be a better me!

Rumpey's father came to the scene and was surprised to hear what the King said, as he looks dumbfounded.

Rumpey tries to push the king, but was held tightly by body guards, who he forcefully threw all of them to the ground. Then he walks away angrily, while his father looks on with his staff to his hand.
