As Henry sat there, trying to keep his posture straight on the intricately carved wooden benches inside of the throne room, the commander started talking about Mella again and Henry had to bow his head as he thought about the wizard's limp body in his arms.
Even through the fogginess he experienced while struggling to breathe, he remembered the dread he felt carrying her limp body. It made him feel somewhat sick as he reflected on that moment.
He was listening to the commander speak, but he couldn't help vividly reliving the life-or-death situation he endured in the tunnel.
However, the moment he heard his name, his head snapped up and he looked at Commander Lothian with such shock you would think he had seen the ghost of his father walking by.
