Henry thought that the castle couldn't get any more grand but soon he found that he was wrong.
The hall he first stepped foot in that was exquisitely decorated and ended at stairs that went upwards to a large set of opened wooden double doors.
It wasn't until he was at the top of the stairs that he saw what the throne room was like. He stopped breathing the moment the tall throne in the front of the room came into his view.
The room was long and there were carved wooden benches on either side of the fine red rug that went all the way up to the golden throne. The throne stood up two steps on a platform slightly above all others in the room. Even the cushions on the large throne were red velvet and likely very comfortable. Red tapestries were on the wall behind the throne and a golden design went up the wall and to the ceiling which ended at a tall point.
