Chapter 82 - First Home

Henry stood still as his mother hovered around him like a bird trying to find a place to land. Everyone was always so worried about his appearance as if it affected them personally.

"Where has my boy gone?" Celia asked. "All I see is this man."

Unable to help herself, Aunt Sylvia joined in and she crossed her arms over her large bosom.

"At least the monsters left you in one piece," she said. "There were rumors that the king sent knights to get rid of monsters. If that were the case you would be much worse off, isn't that right?"

Henry looked at his aunt cryptically. She was always a couple of steps ahead of everyone else in the room. Throughout his life, there were always conversations with her that only gave him more questions than answers.

"The rumors weren't wrong for once," Henry confessed.

Celia's hand dropped from the front of her son's shirt which she was trying to fuss with. She looked up at him in disbelief.
