As always, Henry placed his sword next to the sturdy dark wood frame of his bed on a sword holder that had already been in the Duke's Tower upon his arrival. He then walked to the other side of the room and started putting his clothing from the day in the correct place and taking out more comfortable clothing so he could go to bed.
However, he paused after slipping into comfortable sleeping pants and his eyes met Irene's sharp gaze. There was some sort of fire hiding in her eyes and he only caught it when she asked if they were the type of couple who only held hands.
"Clearly not," Henry said in an even tone, not allowing how sensitive the topic was to him to be seen. "We just kissed in the hallway."
Rather than allowing him to dodge the topic, she walked forward and he walked backward, keeping the same amount of space between them.
"See?!" she exclaimed. "You're doing it right now."
