Henry had heard the term Sünsto before. It was the warrior race Irene's family came from. They were the conquerors of the far, arctic north that used ships to travel and kept the monsters at bay. There was little history as to why they disappeared but they disbanded and moved south to Chemois.
To hear Sünsto also meant that Arthur expected them to have a traditional wedding using customs from his ancestors. It was beyond Henry's knowledge.
Irene tried to pull herself together and speak on behalf of her father.
