Irene had always thought that novels exaggerated how a kiss could feel. How could a meeting of lips be felt from the top of your head to your toes?
Yet when she kissed Henry, she found herself clinging to his shirt. She felt weak everywhere. If she was standing, she certainly would have fallen over. Her body felt tingly and he wasn't touching her anywhere except for her lips and where his hand gently held her head.
He broke away from her first, but Irene wanted another test and she reached for the sides of his head, pulling him to her lips yet again.
The second, third, and fourth kisses produced the same result, though she was prepared for the feeling and found herself able to brace against the shock of enjoying something so much. She kissed him until she was breathless.
