The smell of burning bodies being lit because there were simply too many of them to handle. Ragged coughs racked those who were still on their feet and able to work. The Duke's Tower stood in the distance.
"Henry! What the hell are you doing up!?"
It was Sir Trenton's voice. He sounded frantic.
Everywhere Henry looked, he only found knights intent on finishing their tasks and trying to survive the front lines of war. There was no sign of a knight with such fiery red hair.
"The poison!"
Everyone around Henry paused and faced him, horror on their faces. They started backing away as if he was going to infect them. The urgency to escape his vicinity caused his heart to race.
Suddenly it felt like he couldn't breathe and he gasped for air.
Silence.
Henry felt so hot.
