Even though her mother considered her an untrained and wild woman, Irene was still domesticated enough to allow a small pleased smile to sit on her lightly reddened lips. She knew she couldn't look miserable or it would reflect badly on Henry. She also couldn't seem too eager or people would think she was trying to get something from him.
