As they walked to the dining hall together, Irene's head was full of unnecessary thoughts.
How could she calmly walk by a man she had just read about being so passionate with someone? The thought of the kisses and the way he and the princess held one another were agonizing to her. She wondered what it would be like to do those things to him.
It wasn't the outcome she was hoping for by reading a book she randomly found in the library.
There were plenty of other knights in the dining hall, thankfully, despite there not being many left in the Duke's Tower. Plenty of distracting conversations cropped up and the meal they all shared with one another was easy to get through despite the manner in which Irene had woken up.
Towards the end of their meal, Henry noticed that Irene was being a bit closed off. He wondered if she was simply tired or if something else had been bothering her.
