Before Henry was even a choice to be the duke, he was famed for going headfirst into dangerous situations after the war. However, for once, the knights following the duke could tell that he was considering his options before deciding to go ahead.
At first, many knights didn't trust him to be their commander, but the knights quickly learned that his judgment was sound. He had continually proven himself as reliable for the order of knights.
Irene nodded at Henry's determination, though her heart fell at the uncertainty of what could be inside of a cave at this time of year. These were moments she had to pretend to be brave even if she didn't feel that way to begin. She would soon find the strength to follow her commander into whatever was in front of them.
With no other choice, the others followed them in as well.
It was amazing that, within the heart of such a large mountain there could be such a deep cave.
