Being away from his dukedom for such a long time felt just the same as when he first arrived. There was much to do, though it was all busy work and things he was less familiar with. Though, as with anything else, he could learn to get used to it.
To his surprise, many wanted to talk to him. Most of the letters he received were from nobles wanting to stroke his ego so he would stroke theirs in return. However, he found quite a few from names he had never seen. They were letters from the commoners of Tenetium. Many thanked him for his work thus far while others told him concerns they had or things they needed help with.
While he knew deep down there was no way for him to help each person on a personalized level the way he wanted, he certainly would try to at least show the general population that he was putting forth great effort to improve their lives in some way.
