For two days, Henry and his knights remained in Idona without any attacks or strange activity from the monsters. Fortunately, they were well-rested and prepared for the worst.
However, it was a different story for the Knights of Hydrogia who were stuck in the mountain pass and trying to navigate sharp rocks and dangerous drop-offs. The monsters who had stampeded away from Idona had nowhere else to go other than the steep mountains which there was truly only one path through. It led them right to the Knights of Hydrogia's camp in the middle of the night.
It just so happened that Sir Alix and Sir Maximus were tasked with guarding the camp that night. Already exhausted from traveling such a difficult path, they weren't in the best shape to take on a wall of monsters.
The two knights could only shout as the monsters appeared and they readied their swords. Their only goal was to fend off the monsters as much as they could before their camp could get overtaken.
